Timely support for workers after accidents
In recent days, Quang Nam public opinion has paid special attention to the explosion at the SGI Vina Magnetic Factory (Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park, Nui Thanh District), injuring 12 workers.
In addition to worries, the incident also shows the irreplaceable role of the trade union organization - which has promptly arrived, shared and practically supported workers to overcome the incident.

Immediately after the incident, the Trade Union of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of Quang Nam province, together with the Provincial Federation of Labor (PFF) visited 12 injured workers, providing a total emergency support of 60 million VND. Of which, 36 million VND is from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund and 24 million VND is from the provincial Labor Federation.
"We are very touched to receive attention and support from the trade union organization and the authorities. This is a great source of encouragement for the brothers to overcome the disaster, said Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Head of the coating factory, who directly witnessed the explosion - while being treated at Quang Nam Central General Hospital.

Previously, the Quang Nam Provincial Trade Union also promptly supported worker Nguyen Thi P.T (rieker Vietnam Company, Dien Ban Town) who had a traffic accident on her way home from work. The Town Labor Federation has donated 5 million VND from the Trade Union Social Fund and coordinated with the grassroots trade union to mobilize more from union members to help her family.
Trade Union accompanies labor safety monitoring
With an investment capital of hundreds of millions of USD, SGI Vina is expected to be a project that will create a boost for supporting industries in the Central region. However, the recent incident has left a valuable lesson in risk management.
Mr. Bang Jeff Seung Tae - General Director of SGI Vina Magnetic Magnet Manufacturing Company - sent a letter of support to all staff immediately after the explosion, expressing his deep sympathy for the victims and pledging to accompany them during their treatment.

SGI Vina's leaders said that they are closely coordinating with the parent company in Korea, equipment suppliers and Vietnamese authorities to investigate the cause and review the entire process, to ensure that similar incidents do not happen again.
The representative of the Quang Nam Trade Union affirmed that they will continue to monitor compliance with regulations on labor safety at this enterprise, with the motto of ensuring the safety and health of workers is always a top priority.
Mr. Phan Xuan Quang - Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial Federation of Labor said that every year, all levels of the Quang Nam provincial union coordinate with enterprises to organize occupational safety and hygiene training for workers; build a network of grassroots occupational safety and hygiene workers; organize Workers' Month associated with the Month of Action on occupational safety and health with communication programs and periodic inspections.
Ensuring labor safety is one of the key tasks of the trade union. We always require grassroots unions to participate in checking equipment safety, monitoring the occupational safety and health training process, and at the same time encouraging workers to detect and report safety risks at the workplace Mr. Phan Xuan Quang emphasized.
