On January 4, the Trade Union of Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (Dofico) said that it had just coordinated with the Border Guard Command of Dong Nai province to donate the "Lighting up the border area" project to Dak Bo Border Guard Station and self-managed border patrol posts in Loc Thanh commune, Dong Nai province.

Dofico Trade Union and member companies donated to Dak Bo Border Guard Station a 12KW solar rooftop power project, a 100-inch TV serving the spiritual life of officers and soldiers, 200 national flags; Donated solar lights to self-managed border patrol posts... with a total value of about 300 million VND.

Dak Bo Border Guard Station is located deep in the core area of Bu Gia Map National Park (Bu Gia Map commune, Dong Nai province) managing and protecting the 12.481 km border section, bordering Cambodia.
Lieutenant Colonel Dao Duc Phuong - Commander of Dak Bo Border Guard Station (Dong Nai Provincial Border Guard) said: When there was no electricity, the unit had to use oil lamps, generators and a small amount of solar power, only enough to use electricity for lighting, and could not use fans, TVs... After 3 weeks of implementing the "Border Area Lighting" project, officers and soldiers of the station have been able to use electricity continuously to serve professional tasks and activities, improving cultural and spiritual life.

Colonel Pham Van Dang - Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Command of Dong Nai province, Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Dong Nai province said: With the assigned functions and tasks, the Border Guard of Dong Nai province is the specialized force managing and protecting 258,939 km of border adjacent to Cambodia with 16 border posts. However, there are 5 border posts without electricity located in the Bu Gia Map National Park area. Currently, with the support of the Dofico Trade Union, Dak Bo Border Guard Station has electricity to help connect information smoothly, and at the same time make an important contribution to serving cultural institutions and improving the spiritual life of border guard officers and soldiers.

Speaking at the project handover ceremony, Mr. Tran Dang Ninh, Deputy General Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation, committed to being a bridge, together with units and philanthropists to continue to accompany and support officers and soldiers of border posts that are still facing difficulties, contributing to the task of firmly protecting sovereignty and border security.
Also during the working trip, the delegation visited and presented gifts and national flags to border posts: Dak Ka, Dak No, Bu Gia Map and Dak O.
