Admitting union members who are foreign workers
Recently, the Xuan Cam Commune Trade Union announced the decision to admit 203/203 workers into the Vietnam Trade Union (reaching a rate of 100%) and announced the decision to establish the grassroots trade union of Amphenol High Speed Cable Vietnam Co., Ltd., and appointed a provisional Executive Committee.
Amphenol High Speed Cable Vietnam Co., Ltd. is a 100% US-invested enterprise, officially put into operation from mid-2025. The enterprise specializes in the production and trading of electronic components, with the main product being the assembly of high-tech cables and cable clusters.
Mr. Thach Van Chung - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor - congratulated the Trade Union of Amphenol High Speed Cable Vietnam Co., Ltd. on officially joining the common house of the Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union. Mr. Chung highly appreciated the cooperative spirit of the Board of Directors of the enterprise in supporting the establishment of the Trade Union organization, as well as the welfare regimes for union members and employees that the company is applying.
Mr. Thach Van Chung suggested that the Provisional Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union quickly improve the organization, develop regulations to closely coordinate with the Board of Directors to negotiate and sign Collective Labor Agreements; perform well the role of a bridge, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at enterprises.
Previously, in September 2025, the New wing Company Limited Trade Union held an admission ceremony for 2,127 new union members, marking an important step forward. The special feature of this event is that for the first time, the New wing Company Limited Trade Union has admitted 300 foreign workers, following the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Admitting foreign union members not only demonstrates solidarity and cohesion between domestic and foreign workers, but also affirms the spirit of equality, respect and integration of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The whole province of Bac Ninh has 2,148 grassroots unions
According to the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor, from the beginning of the year to June 30, 2025, the whole province will establish new, merge and transfer 223 grassroots unions; develop 30,898 union members (including 1 union with 70 union members); in May alone, the peak month of union member development, 22 enterprise-based unions with 8,699 union members were established. The number of grassroots trade unions reduced by 45 grassroots trade unions with 672 union members.
Immediately after the merger, the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor proactively developed the Working Regulations of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor for the 2023 - 2028 term; issued Decisions to establish Commune and Ward Trade Unions, Decisions to appoint Executive Committees, Standing Committees, key positions of Commune and Ward Trade Unions; Decisions to regulate related cadres. Direct, guide and support grassroots trade unions on duty in completing procedures to change seals when transferring them to the Provincial Federation of Labor for direct management.
Direct grassroots trade unions to review and compile a list of enterprises and employers in the area that have not yet become trade union organizations to focus on developing union members and forming grassroots trade unions.
From July 1, 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor has established 93 grassroots trade unions with 6,001 union members; admitted 26,148 more union members in enterprises that already have trade union organizations. Up to now, the Provincial Federation of Labor is directly managing 2,148 grassroots unions with 578,488 union members; dissolving 17 enterprise unions and ending the operation of 113 grassroots unions of public schools in 13 communes and wards of the old Bac Ninh province with 6,106 union members...
