On July 4, the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to announce the decision of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on the establishment of the new Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor.
Attending were Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.
After merging and implementing procedures to end the activities of trade union organizations according to the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, from July 1, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor (new) will manage more than 2.1 thousand grassroots trade unions and public service units that do not receive 100% of salaries from the state budget with more than 579,000 union members. Including 977 grassroots unions in the province's industrial parks with nearly 400,000 union members. The organizational system of the trade union apparatus of Bac Ninh province (new) includes 2 departments (Union work and industrial park trade unions) and 25 commune and ward trade unions.
At the conference, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor announced the following decisions: Ending the activities of the Labor Confederations of the two provinces of Bac Giang (old) and Bac Ninh (old); establishing the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation (new); appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation (new) for the 2023-2028 term.
Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the new Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor consists of 38 comrades. Mr. Thach Van Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Giang City Party Committee (before the merger of the two provinces of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh) was appointed as Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation. At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded the decision to establish 25 commune and ward trade unions in the province (enough conditions according to regulations).
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee highly appreciated the proactiveness and positivity of the Standing Committees of the Labor Federations of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces in implementing the task of restructuring the apparatus. He emphasized that the work of arranging and streamlining the political apparatus has been taking place urgently and has achieved remarkable results.
However, to make the new model operate smoothly and effectively, he suggested that in the coming time, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor (new) pay attention, soon develop and promulgate working regulations and action programs; in which, unify directions and tasks for the last months of the year; focus on managing cadres, finance and public assets in accordance with regulations.
At the same time, urgently assign tasks to the executive committee, standing committee, and specialized departments, ensuring ro rangation of people, work, and locations, maximizing work efficiency and facilitating the assessment of cadres. Actively advise and organize the implementation of key tasks of the trade union organization such as: Developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, taking care of workers' lives.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha emphasized that the new operating model will have many difficulties and challenges, so it requires the team of union officials to make even greater efforts, build a united collective, excellently complete tasks, strive to build Bac Ninh province into a centrally-run city by 2030.
On this occasion, Mr. Duong Duc Tuan - former Head of the Propaganda Department of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister. The Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor (new) presented farewell flowers to comrades who have stopped participating in the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor and comrades who have retired or transferred to other jobs.
