According to the report of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV Group), in the first 6 months of the year, the work of caring for workers' lives had many outstanding results.
Typical examples include the "Mining Tet" Program with a total support and care budget for workers of more than VND 2,834 billion; organizing 32,853 workers to go on vacations; supporting the construction of 60 "Union Shelters" with an amount of VND 3.9 billion.
In the first 6 months of the year, the average salary of the whole Group is estimated at 18.8 million VND/person/month, up 12% over the same period. In the emulation movements, 313 projects and products were registered and 950 initiatives were recognized, bringing in more than 49.3 billion VND in benefits. In the first 6 months of the year, trade unions at all levels admitted 1,888 new union members.
At the conference, delegates focused on giving opinions on the situation and roadmap for restructuring the Group's and its units' labor; paying attention to resolving the regime for people subject to restructuring and streamlining the apparatus; health care for workers and using the Group's Funds; workers in apartment buildings and supporting the construction and repair of houses in the coming time; launching emulation movements; improving meals for miners; attracting workers and recruiting miners...

Concluding the conference, Chairman of TKV Trade Union Le Thanh Xuan highly appreciated the activities of trade unions of units in coordinating the implementation of contents, accompanying the profession in performing tasks, completing the work program: taking good care of the material and spiritual life of workers; emulation work in general; developing union members to attract workers; good union models; women's work; implementing grassroots democracy.
Mr. Xuan suggested that the members of the Executive Committee continue to closely follow the goals, targets, and activities to implement the remaining tasks in the first 6 years of 2025, specifically: focusing on propaganda and implementation of emulation movements, creative labor, safe work; workers' housing issues; shift meals for workers; continuing to implement welfare programs; developing union members; preparing well the conditions to implement trade union congresses...
