On November 25, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) said that from the beginning of 2024, the TKV Trade Union has developed a plan to launch emulation to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group with 10 goals and 8 specific emulation contents to be deployed throughout the industry.
Trade unions at all levels in the industry actively launched patriotic emulation movements among workers and achieved high results.
Of which, the Trade Unions at all levels have registered to undertake 621 product projects, of which 36 projects were assigned the goal of being welcomed by the TKV Trade Union. The projects and products focus on improving working conditions for workers; projects to care for workers' lives; projects applying new technology, mechanization, automation, computerization, etc.
Some typical projects include the project of installing transportation, ventilation and compressed air equipment to serve production from floors -175 to -300, Nga Hai coal mine center of Quang Hanh Coal Company's Trade Union - project value of 81,675 billion VND;
Project to manage and repair the auto road from the Factory Ground through Nhan Co Dam - Phi Lao Junction of Dak Nong Aluminum Company's Trade Union - project value 5,929 billion VND;
The project involved in the construction of the Mechanized Longwall with a capacity of 300,000 tons/year from the Longwall CGH -190/-160 L7-2B VM to the Longwall -200/-160 L7.4 VM - project value of 2.45 billion VND and the Project of Construction of winch tunnel excavation, level -97.5, underground head D1 Mong Duong - project value of 4.1 billion VND of the Trade Union of Mong Duong Coal Joint Stock Company.
According to statistics from trade unions at all levels, in 2024, 1,091 topics and initiatives of cadres, union members, and workers were recognized with a value of more than 28.56 billion VND.
TKV Trade Union reviewed and decided to recognize 242 individuals as Creative Miners in 2023, with a reward of 484 million VND.
"The initiative and application of new science and technology in production by union members and workers have been strongly promoted, contributing to increasing labor productivity, improving working conditions and increasing income for workers," said Mr. Le Thanh Xuan.
