On July 3, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) said that during the Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene, TKV units were directly visited and given gifts to encourage workers, demonstrating the concern of all levels to workers in the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries.
In particular, TKV Trade Union directly visited and encouraged 140 teams, teams, construction sites, workshops, departments and 450 outstanding employees. Comrade Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Secretary of the Party Committee - Chairman of the Board of Members, Comrade General Director of the Group directly visited and encouraged the giving of gifts to employees. TKV Trade Union supported and visited 1,100 workers in especially difficult circumstances. The units have actively encouraged production teams and teams, supporting 870 workers in especially difficult circumstances who have had work accidents, illnesses, etc.
In May 2025, due to hot weather conditions, many units used funds to support soft drinks for workers such as: Nam Mau Coal, Hon Gai Coal, Cam Pha Coal trading; There were 38 grassroots units organizing "Union Meals", cultural and sports activities were held enthusiastically, contributing to improving the spiritual life of workers.
TKV Trade Union and units review families who are eligible to build and repair houses according to the criteria of the "Union Shelter" Fund to consider support. In May 2025, the Government approved and decided to support the cost of building and repairing houses for 12 employee families (10 newly built houses, 2 repaired houses) with a total amount of 840 million VND.
TKV Trade Union also coordinated with the Group to organize a Miners' Forum on the occasion of Workers' Month, Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2025 with the participation of 300 workers in the underground sector who are production team leaders, miners, mechanical servants of high-level mines, occupational safety and health workers, etc.
In May, TKV Trade Union also issued a plan to organize a program to nursing and restore the health of miners for 2,500 employees with occupational diseases, health problems of 31% or more and health of type IV and V of the units. In May, the units arranged 2 groups with 152 people from 18 units to go on vacations and recover according to the program.
