According to a report from the Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) from February 16-20, trade union levels continued to implement many activities to care for the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 for union members and workers with many specific and practical data.
During the week, leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation attended the New Year's Eve celebration to celebrate the Party and Binh Ngo Spring 2026. The Standing Committee and the Standing Board of the Provincial Labor Federation organized a meeting and presented 180 gifts to workers on duty on New Year's Eve in 3 areas, with a total budget of 90 million VND.
The program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" was organized with the participation of 700 union members and workers, with a total budget of gifts in cash and in kind of over 670 million VND.
The Provincial Labor Federation advised and organized the awarding of 700 gifts from Party and State leaders, central agencies; including 300 gifts worth 2 million VND in cash and 400 gifts including 1 million VND in cash and gift bags worth 300,000 VND.
The work of visiting and giving Tet gifts was widely deployed with 8,004 gifts, with a total budget of 3.846 billion VND. The online "Trade Union Tet Market" program allocated 6,800 shopping gifts, each gift worth 500,000 VND, with a total budget of about 3.4 billion VND.
The "Trade Union Year-End Meal" program was organized at 3 businesses with the participation of 2,700 union members and workers; the Provincial Labor Federation supported an additional 70,000 VND/scholarship, with a total budget of over 464 million VND. On this occasion, 60 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND, with a total amount of 30 million VND, were awarded to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
At the grassroots level, trade unions proactively mobilize resources from trade union finance, businesses and socialization to take care of Tet, with a total budget of over 51 billion VND, ensuring that workers all have Tet gifts to celebrate Spring and welcome Tet.
Regarding salaries and Tet bonuses, through summary reports, most businesses in the area pay salaries not lower than the regional minimum wage; most have Tet bonuses, the highest bonus level is 89 million VND/person.
Regarding the case at Soar Footwear Co., Ltd., the Provincial Labor Federation has coordinated with the government and functional sectors to work with business representatives, requesting dialogue and payment of wages to employees.
The Trade Union coordinated to advance salaries to 362/381 workers with a total amount of 1.086 billion VND, equivalent to 3 million VND/person; presented 370 cash gifts, each worth 300,000 VND, totaling 111 million VND; supported 373 bags of rice, each bag 10kg, totaling 3,730kg of rice. At the same time, coordinated with functional forces to ensure security and order, not allowing "hot spots" to arise.
After receiving support, workers are excited and feel secure welcoming Tet. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation continues to assign officials to monitor and grasp the situation, promptly coordinate to resolve arising issues, contributing to maintaining stable labor relations in the area.
