According to a report by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation, from February 10 to March 10, in general, the ideology of officials, union members, and workers was stable, well complying with the Party's guidelines, state policies and laws, and business regulations.
Labor relations in the month are basically stable, most businesses have orders, creating jobs for workers. However, after the Tet holiday, some businesses have a need to recruit more workers but face difficulties in recruitment.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation continues to monitor the situation of workers to promptly report to the Provincial Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor according to regulations.
The unit also monitors public opinion and the process of paying salaries to workers of Soar Footwear Co., Ltd. in Tieu Can commune to promptly grasp and handle arising problems.
During the month, propaganda work was promoted, focusing on disseminating resolutions and directives of the Party, policies and laws related to workers and propaganda for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The Provincial Labor Federation has built 23 election communication products posted on websites and social networking platforms, attracting more than 280,000 visits; and organized 715 direct propaganda sessions with more than 35,000 participants.
Responding to the 116th anniversary of International Women's Day March 8 and the 1986 Hai Ba Trung Uprising, many activities were organized such as the "Men in the Kitchen" contest, visiting and giving gifts to 790 female union members with a total budget of 395 million VND.
The whole province currently has 627 grassroots trade unions and professional unions with 174,352 union members out of a total of 184,905 workers, continuing to promote the role of caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
