On May 2nd, Ngai Giao Commune Trade Union (HCMC) said that it had coordinated with the grassroots Trade Union of Meisheng Textiles VN Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Meisheng company) to organize the launch of Workers' Month and respond to the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026; organized "Trade Union Meals" in union members and workers.
The program was attended by representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation; Party Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngai Giao commune; representatives of units and businesses, and about 600 union members and workers.
After the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented many gifts from Meisheng Company's grassroots Trade Union to union members and workers in difficult circumstances; awarded prizes for the "Voice of Workers" contest. At the same time, presented gifts from union member welfare programs - Agape; program "An cu cung nguoi lao dong"; rewarded 10 union members with outstanding achievements in labor production.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ngai Giao commune - acknowledged the important contributions of the Commune Trade Union to the socio-economic development of the locality. Wishing the Trade Union organization to continue to promote care models such as welfare booths, "Trade Union Meals"; promote dialogue, protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers. In addition, proactively coordinate with businesses to improve working conditions, ensure safety and labor hygiene; pay more attention to the material and spiritual life of workers in the coming time.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Do - Director of the Legal Consulting Center of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - also requested the Commune Trade Union to continue to maintain and regularly implement activities to care for union members and workers, not only focusing on Workers' Month. At the same time, encourage union members and workers to actively respond to the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" movement; businesses and trade union organizations in the area continue to consider, organize dialogues and negotiations to improve welfare, help workers stick together, thereby being assured of working and contributing.
