The contest aims to disseminate legal knowledge, raise awareness and responsibility of employers, union members, and employees (DV, NLD) in improving working conditions, health care, preventing work-related accidents and occupational diseases.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan acknowledged and highly appreciated the practical programs of the Vietnam Health Trade Union (VTC) in caring for the lives of union members and workers, especially during the period of COVID-19 prevention and control.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized: "The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has closely coordinated with local labor federations, launched many initiatives, and promptly supported union members in difficult circumstances at medical facilities, units, and enterprises".
Responding to Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month in 2025, many grassroots trade unions in the health sector have organized meaningful activities such as: Conference to honor good workers in Da Nang, visit and support union members who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, develop union members...
In particular, the online contest has been implemented continuously for many years, helping to promote the digital transformation process in propaganda and education on labor safety laws. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness, changing behavior and improving working conditions for employees in the medical industry.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor affirmed: "These activities show that the Vietnam Health Trade Union always accompanies grassroots union officials in comprehensively caring for workers in the health sector".
Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong said that the health sector is highly specific, with employees regularly exposed to patients and many dangerous factors such as disinfectants, ionized radiation, noise, psychological stress, etc. Nearly 90% of health workers work in conditions with strict requirements on occupational safety and hygiene.
Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for their support for workers in the health sector in the past time, and suggested continuing to closely coordinate to effectively implement the work of occupational safety, hygiene and health care for workers in the coming time.
The 4th online contest "Learning about and improving legal knowledge on occupational safety and hygiene for union members and workers in the health sector" is designed with 2 parts: Knowledge part (20 questions), prediction part (1 question). The test is conducted online on a computer or mobile device, with a test time of 15 minutes, each candidate can only take the test once.
The contestants are union members and employees of trade unions under the Vietnam Health Trade Union, health sector trade unions in 6 provinces and cities (Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, Dong Nai, Hoa Binh, Khanh Hoa, Hanoi), units under the Ministry of Health and full-time union officials (except for members of the Organizing Committee and the Secretariat).
Time from 0:00 on May 8, 2025 and until 0:00 on May 22, 2025. The award is scheduled to be presented on June 3, 2025. The total prize is worth 76.5 million VND, drawn from the operating budget of the Vietnam Health Trade Union.
