At HLS Technical Porcelain Joint Stock Company (Yen Bai ward, Lao Cai province), the sound of machinery and equipment operating continuously through each working shift. For those who directly produce, each stage requires accuracy and concentration.
Mr. Hoang Duy Vo - Head of the Incineration Team, has been attached to that job for many years. His job is not only to assign labor, monitor progress or handle arising problems. For Mr. Vo, it is more important to understand the production line, understand each stage and understand the difficulties that workers encounter in the working process.
Therefore, instead of just looking at the final result, he often observes very carefully what happens during the production process. One operation takes more time, a quantity of raw materials has not been fully utilized, a device has to operate one more stage... are things that always make him think. He often exchanges with colleagues, finds out the causes of inadequacies in the production line and then studies adjustment plans.
A small change, many values
Among Mr. Vo's initiatives, noteworthy is "Solution to adjust guidance on mixing incubation material with refractory material on the shaping line, eliminating the 3rd training through PV35. 1 machine".
The idea originated from the process he directly monitored the production line. Through practice, he realized that some stages in the material mixing process can be adjusted to use raw materials more effectively, while reducing stages that are not really necessary.
He started researching and proposing to adjust the method of mixing incubated material with recycled material on the shaping line. The goal is to optimize the mixing process, better utilize the source of recycled material and limit unnecessary tasks.
When the solution is applied in practice, the effectiveness is not only in one stage. Making better use of raw materials contributes to reducing raw material consumption. Along with that is saving electricity, labor and improving the efficiency of machinery and equipment use.
In his position as team leader, he regularly shares experiences with colleagues, guides effective ways of doing things and encourages union members in the team to boldly come up with ideas.
Mr. Vu Ngoc San - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of HLS Technical Porcelain Joint Stock Company - assessed Mr. Vo as a union member with a high sense of responsibility, exemplary in labor and actively responding to emulation movements.
What is precious about Mr. Vo is that he always thinks about how to make work more efficient and economical. He is also the core for the company's "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" movement to become substantive" - Mr. San shared.
On the occasion of National Day 2/9 this year, Mr. Hoang Duy Vo continues to be considered and selected by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to be commended as a typical worker and laborer nationwide in 2026.
