During the April 30th and May 1st holidays, the construction site at the An Phu and My Thuy intersection (HCMC) is still busy with work to ensure the progress of important items.

Recorded at the My Thuy intersection project construction site (Cat Lai ward), the construction atmosphere is very bustling. The Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) said that the project has reached 75% progress to date.

During this holiday, the right bank branch road item and the Ring Road 2 branch overpass must mobilize about 50 workers to work throughout the holiday. Some other items must be temporarily suspended because the supply units are on holiday. Currently, the project still has 6/197 cases that have not handed over the site; Cat Lai Ward People's Committee is expected to hand over 100% of the area in May.
Detailed items at My Thuy:
Left bank branch road: The road section under My Thuy 3 bridge, Ky Ha 2, 3 and 4 bridge has been completed. Currently, the Nguyen Thi Dinh road underpass, drainage system and roadbed of the branch roads are under construction.
Right bank branch road: Completion of the right turn from Dong Van Cong to Vo Chi Cong and the side road of Ky Ha 2 bridge. Construction of the drainage system and roadbed on the side of Ky Ha 2 bridge is underway.

Ring Road 2 overpass (right branch): The span structure from pier T4 to abutment M2 has been completed; construction of the span structure from pier T2 to abutment M1 and the bridgehead road is being focused on.
Bridge items: Ky Ha 3 bridge (right branch) is completing the bridgehead road; Ky Ha 4 bridge is constructing abutment M1, pier T1 and bridgehead road. The overpass turning left from Cat Lai to Phu My has completed piers T5-T7, T10-T18 and is installing steel girder spans.

At An Phu intersection, groups of workers are still maintaining the construction of the xuyên lễ overpass. In particular, the N3 bridge branch is completing the final stages to officially open to traffic at 11:00 am on May 1, 2026.

The N3 bridge item has a total value of over 124 billion VND, nearly 500m long, with a scale of 2 lanes, helping to connect from Mai Chi Tho to Dong Van Cong street. Putting this bridge branch into operation will contribute greatly to relieving traffic pressure at the eastern gateway.

The An Phu intersection project has a total investment of more than 3,400 billion VND with a complete 3-story scale. Previously, some items such as the overpass turning right from the expressway to Mai Chi Tho and two underpasses on Mai Chi Tho street have been put into operation, helping to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the area.
More than 1,000 officials and workers construct during holidays at 9 key traffic projects
Despite facing difficulties with high construction material prices, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) still directs contractors to maintain the pace and organize construction throughout the April 30 - May 1 holiday to ensure the progress of key infrastructure projects.
During this holiday, the Traffic Board simultaneously deployed construction at 9 key projects with 28 construction packages. The total mobilized personnel reached about 826 workers and 177 technical staff to focus on accelerating the progress of important projects, including:
Ring Road 2: Component Project 1 (Phu Huu bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap street) and Component Project 2 (Vo Nguyen Giap street to Pham Van Dong street).
