At the conference, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation Pham Chi Tam said that the Workers' Month is a highlight to affirm the role, position, and traditional values of the Vietnamese working class, an opportunity to honor and express gratitude for the contributions of union members and workers in the economic and social development of businesses, localities, and the country.
Workers' Month is also an occasion for trade unions to demonstrate their role and function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, coordinating with employers to take care of union members and workers.
Mr. Tam suggested that each grassroots union must develop a plan to effectively implement the "Workers' Month" in accordance with the actual conditions of its unit and that unions at all levels must be public and transparent in taking care of union members and workers, not leaving any subjects behind and must be the most economical and effective in taking care of workers, not allowing the organization cost to be greater than the cost of care.
Mr. Tam also suggested that Ho Chi Minh City trade unions at all levels actively mobilize employers to coordinate with trade unions to care for union members and workers, thereby demonstrating social responsibility and the role of employers towards union members and workers.
The leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also noted that trade unions at all levels in Ho Chi Minh City must continue to perform well the functions of trade union organizations in representing, protecting and caring for union members and workers, not to implement the policy of streamlining the apparatus but to neglect the tasks of trade union organizations when representing and caring for union members and workers and must ensure that trade union activities must be continuous.
During the Workers' Month 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Trade Unions at all levels will continue to organize activities that are effective in localities and units, welcomed by many union members and workers, and cared for and supported by Party committees at all levels, authorities and employers.
