Although working far from home, many workers still consider participating in the election as their important task and right. In Giao Long commune, the labor force constructing social housing projects is also actively registering and exercising citizen rights.
Mr. Ha Manh Cuong, from Quang Ninh, a worker at Corporation 789 (Ministry of National Defense), who is constructing a social housing project in Giao Long commune, said that although working far from home, he still registered to vote in the locality.
Although far from home, we still want to fully exercise our citizenship rights. The ballot is small but shows the responsibility of workers to the country and society," Mr. Cuong shared after completing the voting.
According to Mr. Cuong, many workers at the construction site come from many different provinces and cities. Although busy with construction work, everyone is interested in the election day and proactively registers to exercise citizen rights.
Mr. Cuong added that being facilitated to register for elections at work helps workers far from home still be able to fully participate in the festival of the whole people, while expressing the voice of workers.

Also working at the construction site, Mr. Bui Huy Toan, from Quang Ninh, a social housing construction worker in Giao Long commune, also registered to exercise the right to vote in the locality. According to Mr. Toan, this is a very meaningful act.
We work far from home for many months in a row, so being able to participate in elections at the workplace helps workers feel more secure. Everyone hopes to choose delegates who care about the lives of workers," Mr. Toan shared.
According to many workers, in addition to ensuring the construction progress of social housing projects, they still spend time learning about candidates to exercise their voting rights responsibly.
Locally, the Giao Long commune government also proactively deployed many forms of propaganda about elections so that people and labor forces working in the area could clearly understand their rights and obligations.
The locality also supports and guides workers far from home to register to exercise their citizenship and participate in elections right in the commune, ensuring that all workers have conditions to fully exercise their voting rights.

Mr. Luu Hoang Trung - Vice Chairman of Giao Long Commune People's Committee, Vinh Long province - said that the locality has promoted election propaganda in many forms from visual to digital space.
According to Mr. Trung, the whole commune currently has about 29,300 voters. Among them, 16 voters are workers from many other provinces and cities who registered to exercise their voting rights in the commune.
We create favorable conditions for workers far from home who are working in the area to register and participate in elections. Thereby ensuring that all citizens fully exercise their rights and obligations," Mr. Trung added.
According to local leaders, the fact that many workers far from home participate in elections in communes not only shows the civic responsibility of workers but also contributes to creating a vibrant atmosphere for the election day at the grassroots level.
