On February 18, the Da Nang City Labor Federation held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Resolution 06b/NQ-TLD dated August 3, 2015 and 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01/KL-BCH of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on improving the quality and efficiency of the activities of the Trade Union Inspection Committee.
The conference was attended by Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Member of the Presidium, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and nearly 200 delegates under the Da Nang City Labor Federation.
The report at the conference said that as of December 31, 2024, the Da Nang City Labor Federation managed 1,701 grassroots unions with a total of 132,919 union members/138,921 workers, civil servants and laborers.
Of which, the grassroots trade unions in the production and business sector are 1,161 grassroots trade unions (accounting for 68.25%). The number of union members is 92,579 people/101,484 workers (accounting for 69.72% of the total number of union members in the city).
The entire system has 1 Inspection Committee of the City Labor Federation; 11 Inspection Committees of trade unions at the grassroots level; 814 Inspection Committees of grassroots trade unions/1,701 grassroots trade unions.
The implementation of Resolution 06b/NQ-TLD and Conclusion No. 01/KL-BCH has been carried out regularly at all levels of the City Trade Union. Preliminary and summary meetings and conferences are held on time, ensuring unity in directing and implementing the Resolution.
The Trade Union Inspection Committees at all levels have conducted periodic and surprise inspections of establishments to ensure that the Resolution is seriously implemented with 12,053 financial inspections.
Inspected and supervised compliance with the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union at the same level and below 11,993 times; 100% of signs of violations when detected were promptly inspected.
At the conference, delegates also focused on assessing the difficulties and problems of units in the process of performing tasks at grassroots trade unions.
At the same time, the direction and tasks of inspection, supervision and operation of the Trade Union Inspection Committees at all levels in the coming time were approved with 5 groups of tasks and solutions to implement Resolution 06b/NQ-TLD and Conclusion No. 01/KL-BCH.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - praised and highly appreciated the implementation of Resolution 06b/NQ-TLD dated August 3, 2015 and 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01/KL-BCH of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on improving the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the Trade Union Inspection Committee of the Da Nang City Labor Federation in the past time.
However, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized that the work of inspecting trade unions needs to be carried out more substantially, avoiding formality and making things happen.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan said that from the comments and recommendations at this conference, as well as the survey results from 10 localities and units in the coming time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will advise the Presidium and Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to issue a new Resolution, replacing Resolution 06b to suit the new situation.
