As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, according to the salary debt list prepared by employees who have worked at the company, the total number of employees owing is 26, the total amount of employees owing salaries by the company is 1,444,691,158 VND. Many of them said that being owed salaries causes them many difficulties in life, even having to borrow money.
Mr. Vu Van Duc said that he started working at the company in March 2019; ended his labor contract in October 2025, after a long period of salary arrears.
According to Mr. Duc, currently, he is still owed 4 months' salary by the company (including March 2023, February, March, April 2024) with a total estimated amount of about 95 million VND. The period of both resigning and owing salary is a very difficult period for Mr. Duc. Having to raise 3 children of school age, at times running out of money, he has to borrow money from relatives to cover daily living expenses.
Similarly, Mr. Le Vu Luong (born in 1982) is also owed a salary by the company. Mr. Luong started working at the company in March 2023; by May 2025, he officially quit his job at the company.
Mr. Luong said that he is the company that owes him the most with a 6-month salary, with a total amount of 150 million VND. In addition to salary, according to Mr. Luong, he also owes the company some other amounts related to work. “Due to being owed salary by the company, I had to borrow everywhere. Currently, I have to pay about 10 million VND in interest each month for loans,” Mr. Luong said.
To have multi-dimensional information, at 10 am on January 27, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper once again came to the company office as scheduled by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Duong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company. However, once again Mr. Duong... did not appear to receive reporters as scheduled. Reporters waited for 40 minutes but Mr. Duong still did not appear, so reporters left the company.
After that, Mr. Duong texted reporters to meet in the afternoon, but reporters refused to meet and requested the company to pay salaries to employees in accordance with regulations. Mr. Duong texted back to reporters, saying "waiting for the source to arrive and then paying employees". Previously, on January 26, reporters went to the company as scheduled, but Mr. Duong was not present, then texted that he... forgot.
According to lawyer Pham Van Tien (Tien Minh Law Firm, Hanoi Bar Association), from the information provided by reporters, the company has terminated the labor contract with the employee, meaning that the two parties have no dispute over the labor contract, thereby determining the obligation to pay money to the employee. Therefore, the employee does not need to complain but has a petition requesting the company to pay the debt to the employee; besides, it requests the trade union to intervene, clearly stating the payment time, if it does not meet the requirements, then sue in court; court fees are later borne by the company.
