According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the safety and health of workers are always a top priority. A safe and healthy working environment not only helps protect the health of workers but also arouses the enthusiastic and creative working spirit of each person.
"Enterprises need to pay attention to investing in developing human resources, pioneering forces, directly in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country. At the same time, workers and laborers continue to promote their intelligence, initiatives, and creativity, contributing to the completion of the goals and tasks of the agency and unit, accompanying and attaching to the Vietnam Trade Union organization", Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi hopes.
At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded rewards from all levels and sectors to 21 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in occupational safety and hygiene and 4 collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor, building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024. At the same time, the City Labor Federation also symbolically presented 15 gifts to workers who have had work-related accidents and occupational diseases and 15 Union Shelters to union members in difficult circumstances.
According to the Da Nang City Labor Federation, during Workers' Month 2025, this unit will give 174 gifts, with a total cost of 380 million VND. Of which, 170 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, were given to workers who had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses and 4 gifts, worth 10 million VND/gift to support the families of union members and workers who died due to work accidents or occupational diseases. At the same time, 34 Union Shelters with a total cost of more than 1.22 billion VND were presented to union members with difficult housing circumstances.
