Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Vu Thi Giang Huong attended the emulation summary conference of Block 4 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on December 25.
Emulation Block No. 4 consists of 7 public service and press units under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Promoting the spirit of creativity, improving labor productivity and work efficiency, each unit in the Block is determined to strive to successfully complete the targets and tasks set for 2024.
In particular, focus on implementing and completing well political tasks and professional tasks associated with functions, tasks and work plans for 2024. Compete to propagate, thoroughly grasp and study the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; develop plans and deploy the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union. Focus on implementing solutions to innovate the content and methods of Trade Union activities in the spirit of Resolution 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo.
Compete to overcome difficulties, be creative, improve qualifications, train courage, innovate working methods, be flexible and creative in solving assigned tasks with the goal of "All for union members and workers". Promote patriotic emulation movements; continue to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in conjunction with the campaign "Cadres, civil servants and public employees say no to negativity" to contribute to building "Loyal, responsible, honest and creative" cadres, civil servants and public employees.
In many units, not only the professional sector has launched emulation campaigns, but the agency's Trade Union has also made many efforts and proactively coordinated with the professional sector and the Youth Union to launch many practical and effective emulation movements that have attracted many participants.
Evaluating the performance of units in the bloc, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Emulation Flag to the Workers' Institute and the Trade Union received the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; awarded Certificates of Merit to the Labor Newspaper and the Labor Publishing House.
In particular, Lao Dong Newspaper has performed well its political mission as the mouthpiece of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, continuing to perform well the functions and tasks of the newspaper, closely following the functions, tasks and activities of the Trade Union organization; maintaining the No. 1 position in protecting the rights of workers. The newspaper has promoted digital transformation, setting specific goals and solutions to comprehensively digitally transform the agency from now until 2025, with a vision to 2030. In 2024, Lao Dong Newspaper will lead the Central press agencies in digital transformation of the press (according to the official announcement of the picture of National Press Digital Transformation in 2024 by the Ministry of Information and Communications).
From the actual operation, the Emulation Bloc has some recommendations such as focusing on promoting the application of digital transformation in emulation management and trade union activities, expanding the content, diversifying the forms of organizing emulation movements to each individual in the unit.
On this occasion, the Bloc launched the emulation movement for 2025 and organized the signing of the emulation covenant for 2025. Units in the Bloc elected the 2025 block leader, the Trade Union University, and the deputy block leader, Ton Duc Thang University.
