The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) started the project to upgrade, renovate, repair and preserve house number 14 on Cach Mang Thang Tam street, a city-level historical relic, a place that preserves many imprints associated with the formation and development of the Trade Union organization and the workers' movement of Ho Chi Minh City, on March 12.
This place witnessed many struggle activities of the working class before 1975, and is also a traditional living space, contributing to educating pride and solidarity for generations of officials, union members, and workers.
In 2014, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation inaugurated the Tradition Room of Workers - Trade Unions of the city. Here, hundreds of images and artifacts about the Saigon - Cho Lon workers' movement, the CNVCLĐ movement, and the activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union in the cause of national renovation are displayed.
According to Mr. Le Van Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - over time, some items of the project have deteriorated, affecting the function of use as well as the requirements for relic preservation.
The project is implemented in accordance with legal regulations, in which the scale and items of the project are clearly defined, ensuring the requirements of repair and restoration associated with the maximum preservation of the original elements of the relic.
The implementation of the project to upgrade, renovate and preserve house number 14 Cach Mang Thang Tam street is necessary to preserve historical values, and at the same time create a more spacious and sustainable traditional living space for the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union organization," Mr. Hoa emphasized.
The project is also an activity to celebrate the election day of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
