Implementing the policy of streamlining the organization, the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor has issued a decision to dissolve 10 district, town and city-level Federations of Labor. Dissolve 3 industry unions and affiliated provincial civil servant unions (education industry unions, health industry unions, provincial civil servant unions).
At the same time, at the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor decided to receive 84 grassroots unions with 5,812 union members under the District, Town, City Labor Federations, Industry Unions, and Provincial Civil Servants' Unions dissolved under the management of the Provincial Federation of Labor. The decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor - said that the end of the activities of the District, Town, City Federations of Labor, Education Trade Unions, Health Trade Unions, and Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Unions is an important turning point in the process of innovating the organization and operation of the Trade Union, aiming to build an increasingly strong organization to meet the requirements in the new situation.
At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded the "For the cause of building the Vietnam Trade Union" Medal to 35 comrades.
Currently, Dien Bien has 31,502 union members/34,128 workers and civil servants, operating at 947 grassroots unions.
