On the morning of December 29, Mr. Do Van Chien - Member of the Politburo, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly - came to Kim Lien Special National Relic Site (Nghe An) to offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.
The activity took place in a solemn atmosphere to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and summarize the activities of the 15th National Assembly term of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Nghe An province.
Also attending the flower and incense offering ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society; Mr. Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee; leaders of agencies of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Office.

Leaders of Nghe An province attended including Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of the province, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; along with leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Provincial National Assembly Delegation and representatives of departments and branches.
In the sacred moment, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien and delegates respectfully offered offerings, flowers, and incense, expressing deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the founder of the Vietnamese National Assembly and affirming the role of the highest state power agency throughout the journey for the people and the country.
Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election Day is an opportunity to review history, affirm the multifaceted achievements of the National Assembly over eight decades; and at the same time recognize the efforts to innovate and improve the quality of activities of the National Assembly, agencies of the National Assembly and the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Nghe An province.
Previously, the working delegation came to offer flowers and incense at Chung Son Temple - the ancestral temple of President Ho Chi Minh.
