Workers excitedly receive gifts, adding motivation to welcome the new year
From early morning, many workers were present at the program location with excitement. After the safe driving skills training session, union members successively received New Year's Day gifts and motorbike oil donated by the City Labor Federation.
Sharing at the program, Ms. Duong Thi Phuoc - a worker at Continuance Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - said: "The income of our workers is low, and at the end of the year we have to worry about all kinds of expenses. Being cared for by the trade union, giving Tet gifts and motorbike oil, I feel very warm. The gift is not large but very practical, helping me save a sum of money and feel more secure when going to work every day.
Sharing the same feeling, Ms. Pham Thi Yen - a worker at Hai Duong Industrial Automation Joint Stock Company - said that the program has great spiritual encouragement meaning for workers far from home.
At the end of the year, everyone hopes to have a little more support to take care of their families. Receiving gifts and participating in safe driving training, I feel like I am being cared for and listened to," Ms. Yen said.
According to Mr. Vu Van Bac, a worker in the same company, the training session on safe driving skills is a very necessary content. “We go to work by motorbike every day, the roads are crowded, there are many unexpected situations. Being reminded of traffic rules and how to handle incidents helps me feel more confident and limit risks when participating in traffic” - Mr. Bac shared.
Not only are they material gifts, the program also brings timely spiritual encouragement, especially to union members in difficult circumstances such as single parents raising sick young children, people with dangerous diseases, labor accidents, occupational diseases, or affected by natural disasters, fires, and unemployment in 2025.
Focused care, the right people, the right time
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh - Vice President of Hai Phong City Labor Federation, in recent years, especially every Tet and Spring, the work of caring for union members and workers has always been identified by the City Labor Federation as a key and consistent task, associated with the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
Specifically for the Lunar New Year and Lunar New Year 2026, the City Labor Federation has proactively developed plans, mobilized resources and organized many large-scale, synchronous and practical care activities. Accordingly, the whole city has been and is implementing 16,000 Lunar New Year gifts and 20,000 Lunar New Year gifts, each worth 1 million VND; supporting 36,000 bus tickets for union members to return home for Tet, each worth 200,000 VND.
Along with that, 6,600 motorbike oil boxes, worth 85,000 VND/box, were distributed to union members; 3,000 gifts were given directly at the "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" programs, each worth 500,000 VND; 5,000 Tet vouchers worth 200,000 VND for union members to shop at Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market 2026. Over 2,500 gifts for business leaders, each worth 1.5 million VND, showing respect, companionship and common responsibility in caring for workers.
These figures not only show the scale of care, but more importantly, the determination of the city's Trade Union organization in caring for the right people, the right work, at the right time, especially for union members in difficult circumstances, direct labor, labor away from home" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh emphasized.
These practical activities contribute to bringing workers far from home with low incomes a warm, safe and meaningful Tet season, showing the deep concern of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation for workers.
