Enterprises rush to recruit people to meet increased output
In the last months of the year, many businesses in industrial parks and clusters in Vinh Long received additional export orders. To keep up with the delivery progress, the companies are simultaneously implementing new recruitment plans.
At Ty Bach Company Limited (Binh Minh Industrial Park), recruitment activities have been bustling since the beginning of the fourth quarter. Ms. Lam Thi Ngoc Ha - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union - said that the unit needs to recruit about 2,000 workers in many departments such as sewing, pasting, assembling... to serve year-end orders. To date, the company has recruited about 1,900 people.
"We continue to receive applications, prioritize skilled candidates, and organize quick training for new workers to soon put them into the production line" - Ms. Ha said.
Sharing the urgent recruitment atmosphere, My Phong Leather Shoes Company Limited also announced the recruitment of 350 more workers, mainly for cutting, sewing, and product completion.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - Chairman of the Trade Union - said: "This year's orders are more positive than the same period, the company proactively arranges production plans to ensure stable work and income for workers. We also have initial support policies to attract new employees, especially unskilled workers.
According to the Vinh Long Provincial Employment Service Center, from the beginning of 2025 to now, more than 1,130 enterprises in the 3 areas of Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre (before the merger) have registered to recruit over 54,700 job positions. In Vinh Long alone, there are an average of nearly 20 business registrations per week, and the increase in July is nearly 1.5 times. The increased recruitment demand shows that orders and production are recovering; many businesses have signed long-term contracts, helping workers feel secure in their commitment.
Many attractive support policies
The vibrant recruitment atmosphere at the end of the year has opened up job opportunities for many workers in Vinh Long, especially those who urgently need jobs to stabilize their lives.
Ms. Tran Thi Kim Yen (Dong Thanh Ward) has just finished her maternity leave and decided to apply for a job at Ty Bach Company Limited.
"After submitting the application for a short time, I was called for an interview and immediately accepted to work. When signing the contract, I was informed to enjoy full benefits such as travel allowance, child support, mid-shift meals, toxic benefits, reasonable overtime... These are practical policies, especially for female workers who have just returned to work after giving birth. Having a stable job helps the family reduce financial pressure, have more income to take care of young children and prepare for Tet more carefully. With a stable job, clear regime, and being close to home, I want to stay with her for a long time, Ms. Yen shared.
As for Mr. Nguyen Van Tho (Tra Vinh ward), being hired at My Phong Leather Shoes Company is a great fortune.
"Currently, applying for a job is not easy, many places have few recruitment or require high skills and experience. I have been unemployed for nearly 4 months so I am very worried. Being hired to work in the right profession, receiving full benefits, and having extra working hours to increase income, I feel luckier than many others. Having a job at this time is a great peace of mind for the whole family" - Mr. Tho shared.
According to the representative of the enterprises, clear welfare policies, practical support policies and a stable working environment are the "adversities" that help them attract new workers and retain old ones. Especially during the peak production season, caring for the lives of workers not only helps increase productivity, but also creates a long-term bond between workers and businesses.
At the Hanoi Employment Trading Center in mid-August, businesses were also actively looking for personnel to meet the progress for the most important crop of the year. From manufacturing and service companies to technology companies, recruitment demand is at a high level.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong - Head of Recruitment Department of Nhat Viet Security Protection Service Joint Stock Company - said that the company is in need of recruiting nearly 200 security guards, mainly unskilled workers.
"Currently, we need to recruit unskilled laborers as security guards, aged from 18 to 55. The salary ranges from 6 million to 15 million VND, depending on the position and goal. Workers are fully entitled to social insurance, health insurance, periodic health check-ups and housing support for personnel in remote provinces" - Ms. Huong informed.
Enterprises in the technology sector are also stepping up recruitment to expand scale. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Huy Cong, Director of Partnership Development for VietPay Technology Co., Ltd., shared: My company has just received a capital of 5 million USD from the US investment fund, so in the coming time, it needs to recruit nearly 100 positions, from senior management to employees, both full-time and part-time to expand the market.
However, Mr. Cong also pointed out a difficulty, which is the conflict between the candidate's expectations and the actual work. Many candidates want a stable office job, while the company needs people who are willing to go to the market, meet partners, and customers.
To meet the increased human resource demand, since the beginning of July, Hanoi Employment Service Center has continuously coordinated with provinces and cities to organize weekly online job fairs.
Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center - said that this activity is bringing very positive signals.
Online models help erase geographical distance. Workers in Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen or Bac Ninh can connect and interview directly with businesses in Hanoi and vice versa. This helps to make the most of resources, significantly saving travel costs and time for both sides" - Mr. Thanh emphasized.
According to the trading sessions, the largest recruitment demand in the third quarter was concentrated in the unskilled labor group and production workers. This is the time when businesses enter the acceleration phase to prepare goods to serve the market at the end of the year, so the demand for workers in industrial parks is very high.
