The Ministry of Health has issued Circular 56/2025/TT-BYT guiding occupational disease management, effective from February 15, 2026.
Chapter II of Circular 56/2025/TT-BYT stipulates for health check-ups before arranging work as follows:
Health check-up subjects before arranging work
The subject of health examination before being assigned to work is a worker in the case specified in Clause 3, Article 21 of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health No. 84/2015/QH13.
In comparison with Clause 3, Article 21 of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health No. 84/2015/QH13, it is specifically stipulated as follows:
Employers organize health check-ups for employees before arranging work and before switching to a heavy, hazardous, or more dangerous job or after suffering a work accident or occupational disease, have recovered their health and continue to work, except in cases where they have been examined and assessed by the Medical Council for work capacity reduction.
Thus, employees in the above case are subject to health checks before being assigned to work.
