On the afternoon of October 30, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) solemnly held the 1st Congress, term 2025-2030, with the participation of 60 union members and youth.

Attending the Congress, on the side of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, there was comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
On the side of the guest delegates, there were comrade Nguyen Nhat Linh - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Fatherland Front, and Central organizations.
With the theme "Proud and steadfast in following the Party, the Youth of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor builds great ambitions, joins hands, is united, pioneers, and makes strong strides in the era of national growth", the Congress is an important political event, marking a new step in the development of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Youth Union and the youth movement.
The Congress is tasked with evaluating the results of work for the 2022-2025 term; proposing directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term.
The Political Report of the Congress stated that in the past term, the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement has closely followed the leadership and direction of the Party Committee of the General Confederation, the plan of the Upper-level Youth Union; the content and form of activities have been innovated, especially in terms of methods and methods.
Education work is cared for and directed; timely grasp of the thoughts and feelings, encourage enthusiastic union members and young people to work and be creative, contributing to building strong agencies and units. Organizing social activities attracts many resources, contributing to expanding the scale and improving the quality of activities.
The work of organizing the construction of the Youth Union and the Youth Union participating in the construction of the Party, the government and political organizations has been carried out regularly and seriously. The work of developing the Party has received attention. Cultural, artistic and sports activities are maintained; coordination and organization of activities with mass organizations, departments and units are closely and effectively coordinated.
Regarding tasks and solutions in the coming term, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor's Youth Union will train youth union members of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with revolutionary ideals; ethics, cultural lifestyle; encourage union members to promote their intelligence, dynamism and creativity to excellently perform professional tasks.
Build and strengthen the organization of the Youth Union in terms of ideology, politics, organization and action, truly being a reliable reserve team of the Party; revolutionary shock force; socialist school of youth.
The Youth Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will also focus on strongly innovating the Youth Union's methods of operation in accordance with the new situation.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the General Confederation for the 2022-2025 term, especially in political and ideological education and youth movements.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu hopes that the activities of the Youth Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will be carried out with "5 more", which is: Newer, more methodical, more vibrant, more unique and more productive.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu assessed that the tasks and solutions set out in the Political Report, although heavy, are really necessary for the Youth Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to increasingly affirm its role and position in the coming period.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Nhat Linh - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations - emphasized that the Vietnam Youth Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has a special position in the generation of the Fatherland Front Youth Union and Central organizations.
In order for the work of the Youth Union and the Youth Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to develop more sustainably, substantially and effectively in the 2025 - 2030 term, Comrade Nguyen Nhat Linh suggested that the Youth Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor consistently have 3 strategic viewpoints, which are: Taking young workers as the center, subject and driving force of innovation; Combining democracy - Discipline - Creativity; shifting from a formal movement to practical results, measured by efficiency and social values.
The Congress announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the first time, term 2025-2030 consisting of 9 comrades; the Standing Committee consists of 3 comrades, of which, Secretary is comrade Phan Nghiem Long; elected the Delegation to attend the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Youth Union, Central Trade Unions, term 2025-2030, including 25 delegates; and approved the Resolution of the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the first time, term 2025-2030.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Congress, Secretary of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor's Youth Union Phan Nghiem Long expressed his deep gratitude to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front, and Central organizations for regularly paying attention to leading, directing, encouraging and motivating the youth of the Vietnam General Confederation, especially during the preparation for the Congress. At the same time, I would like to take the opportunity to accept the instructions of comrade Ngo Duy Hieu and comrade Nguyen Nhat Linh.
