Dong Nai has the 3rd largest number of union members in the country
Dong Nai is an industrial province with 36 industrial parks, of which 32 have come into operation. The province continues to attract many high-tech, environmentally friendly FDI projects, along with thousands of high-tech workers, reflecting the improvement of the qualifications of Vietnamese cadres, engineers and workers.
The whole province currently has nearly 3,000 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with nearly 700,000 union members (ranked 3rd in the country), the gathering rate reached over 95%. Dong Nai Trade Union regularly launches emulation movements, contributing to improving the qualifications and skills of union members and workers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, President of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, said that starting from patriotic emulation movements launched by Dong Nai trade unions at all levels, more and more examples of units and workers directly involved in production are striving to learn, improve skills, and contribute many initiatives that bring high value to businesses.
On the business side, typically the Trade Union of TKG Teakwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City), in 2024, recorded more than 20,000 contributions from employees, every month hundreds of initiatives were applied in production and business, benefiting the business tens of billions of VND.
Mr. Dinh Sy Phuc - Chairman of the Trade Union of TKG Teakwang Vina Joint Stock Company - said that the qualifications and skills of the company's members and employees are increasingly good, many of the company's current employees have risen from workers thanks to their own efforts and the support of the trade union.
Similarly, the Trade Union of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company in 2024 recorded 40 initiatives and technical improvements of employees and employees applied with high technology content and saved nearly 50 billion VND. In 2024, Dong Nai province will have more than 30,000 ideas and more than 2,800 new initiatives and designs that will benefit and save businesses hundreds of billions of VND.

In 2025, Dong Nai strives to develop 60,000 more union members
In order for Dong Nai Trade Union to grow stronger in both quantity and quality, in 2025, Dong Nai Trade Union strives to develop 60,000 union members. Therefore, right from the first meetings of 2025, Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Thi Nhu Y suggested that Dong Nai trade unions at all levels focus on reviewing and grasping the situation of union and employee fluctuations to promptly urge grassroots trade unions in developing union members. At the same time, grassroots trade unions have innovated practical care models at the grassroots level so that employees see the benefits of joining the Trade Union organization.
According to the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, in the first quarter of 2025, the whole province established 12 new grassroots unions and admitted over 3,500 union members, most of whom were established in enterprises with 20 or more employees.
During Workers' Month 2025, trade unions at all levels will organize a peak period of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; introducing the development of party members among workers. Strive for 55% or more of enterprise-level trade unions and 35% of administrative- career trade unions to have at least 1 activity in response to Workers' Month. The activities are practical, effective, and suitable for the production conditions of the locality, unit, and enterprise.
In addition to focusing on implementing emulation movements for production labor, promoting initiatives, improving techniques within, and developing union members, Dong Nai Trade Union is coordinating with all levels and sectors to take care of the rightful rights of union members and employees such as kindergartens for workers' children, social housing, etc.
According to statistics, there are currently 9 enterprises in the province with kindergartens for workers' children. Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee has issued a Resolution on developing workers' housing and social housing in the period of 2021 - 2025, striving to build about 10,000 units, and has so far completed and put into use 1,660 units. According to the Department of Construction of Dong Nai province, in 2025, the province will strive to start construction of 11,953 social housing units.
