According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Phu Tho, the province has so far established 67 industrial parks, reaching 51.5% of the planned quantity, with a total area of over 3,000 hectares.
Currently, 35 industrial parks are in operation, attracting about 930 secondary projects, creating jobs for more than 37,000 workers; average income reaches 7.3 million VND/person/month.
The average industrial land occupancy rate is 53%. Some industrial parks have high occupancy rates such as Dong Soc Industrial Park (over 90%) and Hung Vuong Industrial Park (100%).
In early December, Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter at Tien Tien Industrial Park (Thinh Minh commune) - the place adjacent to Hanoi Capital - showed that many enterprises have set up factories such as Phu Thanh Industrial Steel Joint Stock Company, P2M, Maska Global, Silicone Asia Pacific, Kazza Vina, TMC Vietnam.
Ms. Bui Thi Huong (32 years old, Thinh Minh commune) said: "Previously, many young people had to go to distant provinces such as Bac Ninh and Hanoi to work as workers. Now the industrial park opens right next to home, people have the opportunity to work stably and conveniently to take care of their families".

The Department of Industry and Trade added that some industrial parks still have low occupancy rates due to the lack of centralized wastewater treatment systems. Some technical infrastructure areas are not synchronous or the site clearance progress is slow, affecting investment attraction.
In early December, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province held a conference to listen to reports on the plan to adjust the planning of industrial clusters for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and the progress of technical infrastructure projects at established industrial clusters.
At the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Phung Thi Kim Nga stated that the province's industrial development orientation in the coming time will prioritize the green, circular, ecological, and high-tech industrial park model.
At the same time, it is recommended that the Industry and Trade sector review and complete the planning; avoid the situation of fragility and scatterment; increase regional connectivity; arrange CCNs in accordance with the socio-economic conditions of each area.
For new industrial parks, the province requires selecting investors with financial capacity, experience and specific progress commitments. The Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to advise the Provincial People's Committee to establish a Council and a Working Group to remove obstacles in the implementation process, speed up the progress of compensation, support and resettlement.
The People's Committees of communes have increased propaganda and mobilized people to coordinate in counting and site clearance to serve the implementation of industrial park projects.
