After more than a week of exciting competition, the first mini-football tournament for men and women competing for the 28/7 cup in industrial parks in Dong Thap province in 2026 officially closed successfully, leaving many beautiful marks in the hearts of athletes and audiences.
The tournament takes place from July 18-25 with the participation of 32 football teams (24 men's teams and 8 women's teams), gathering nearly 350 athletes who are union members, workers, and laborers from grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) in industrial parks in Dong Thap province.
Throughout the competition, the teams showed solidarity, honesty, nobility, and dedicated many attractive matches, beautiful and emotional plays to the audience.
Not only is it a useful sports playground, the tournament also contributes to strengthening exchanges and connections between union members and workers of enterprises; creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere, improving spiritual and cultural life and spreading the movement of physical training and sports among workers.
Regarding the results, in the men's event, the organizers awarded the championship cup, flag, gold medal and prizes to the grassroots trade union team of Du Duc Co., Ltd. (Vietnam).
The second prize belonged to the grassroots trade union team of Freeview Industrial Co., Ltd. (Vietnam); the third prize belonged to 02 grassroots trade union teams of Co May Lai Vung Co., Ltd., Sa Giang Import-Export Joint Stock Company; encouragement belonged to 02 grassroots trade union teams of Quang Viet Tien Giang Co., Ltd., Cuu Long Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company.
In the women's event, the organizing committee awarded the championship cup, flag, gold medal and prizes to the grassroots trade union team of Freeview Industrial Co., Ltd. (Vietnam).
The second prize belonged to the grassroots trade union team of Apache Shoe Co., Ltd. (Vietnam); the third prize belonged to the teams of 02 grassroots trade union teams of Du Duc Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), grassroots trade union of Nghi Phong Joint Venture Co., Ltd.; Consolation belonged to 02 grassroots trade union teams of Quang Viet Tien Giang Co., Ltd., grassroots trade union of Want-Want Vietnam Co., Ltd.
In addition, the organizers also honored outstanding male and female players and goalkeepers.
Speaking at the closing ceremony and award ceremony, Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap Nguyen Thanh Nhan acknowledged and praised the enthusiastic fighting spirit, awareness of complying with the tournament regulations of the teams, the responsible work of the refereeing team, the organizing committee, and the companionship of sponsors, businesses and fans who contributed to the success of the tournament.
From the success of the football tournament, it continues to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for spiritual life, building a united and civilized working environment and contributing to widely launching a movement to practice physical exercise and sports among workers, towards building a team of Dong Thap workers who are physically healthy and mentally strong, meeting development requirements in the new period.
