57,735 union members receive Tet gifts
On February 20, Mr. Nguyen Van Trong - Vice Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that the direct superior trade unions at the grassroots level have just reported the results of caring for union members and employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
According to Mr. Trong, in 2024, the socio-economic situation of Ha Tinh province is still difficult, some enterprises are facing difficulties, so it has affected the employment and income of workers. This also affects trade union activities, especially mobilizing social resources to take care of Tet for union members and workers.
However, thanks to the active and proactive planning early, the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" in 2025 of the Ha Tinh Provincial Trade Union at all levels has achieved good results, having great influence in society with many agencies, units, enterprises, and philanthropists joining hands to support funding to give Tet gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
The total resources mobilized by the Ha Tinh Provincial Trade Union at all levels are more than 19.9 billion VND to give 57,735 Tet gifts to union members and employees in difficult circumstances. Of which, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has presented support for 730 gifts worth 969 million VND; the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor, the Trade Unions at the grassroots level and the grassroots trade unions have mobilized 18.95 billion VND to support 46,905 union members and employees in difficult circumstances.
Thanks to mobilizing social resources well
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Trong - Vice Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor, of the 18.95 billion VND that the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor mobilized at all levels to take care of Tet for union members and workers, the socialized mobilized source was more than 12.4 billion VND.
"It must be affirmed that in recent years, the Tet Sum Vay program has spread strongly in society. With the proactiveness and flexibility in connecting and mobilizing of Ha Tinh trade unions at all levels, agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists have also actively participated in supporting and responding to the great success of the Tet gift giving program for union members and workers in difficulty, giving many gifts like that, Mr. Trong shared.
As a unit that exceeded the target of mobilizing resources to take care of the Lunar New Year 2025 for union members and workers, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huong - President of the Hong Linh Town Labor Federation - shared: "At first, when entering the campaign, mobilizing social resources was very difficult. However, thanks to the activity, flexibility and support of businesses inside and outside the area, we have finally mobilized quite a large amount of resources to care for and give gifts to union members in difficult circumstances during Tet. We are very excited to carry out this meaningful task.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Hong Linh Town Labor Federation mobilized 707 gifts to give to union members and employees in difficult circumstances with a total value of more than 450 million VND.
