Happy to be back to work
On the morning of February 3, Ms. Nguyen Minh Anh (27 years old, a worker at the Japanese Industrial Park - Hai Phong) happily returned to work after the Tet holiday. Ms. Minh Anh shared: "The company arranged a car to return to my hometown in Hoa Binh province to celebrate Tet, I had a happy and meaningful holiday with my family. Therefore, from the 4th day of Tet, the whole family moved to Hai Phong, stabilized their lives and started going back to work this morning."
According to Ms. Minh Anh, in the morning when coming to the company after a long vacation, meeting the leaders and colleagues again, shaking hands and wishing each other a peaceful new year made everyone happy, excited, and more motivated to work.
As at Horn Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Duong Industrial Park), according to the representative of the grassroots union, according to the production plan, this morning, nearly 500 workers of some departments returned to work. The remaining departments will return to work from February 7. This morning, the company's leaders gave each worker a bonus of 500,000 VND; New Year's greetings and lucky money.
According to statistics from the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union, since February 3, most enterprises in industrial parks in Hai Phong have resumed production after the Tet holiday. The rate of employees returning to work reached nearly 96% (as of 12:00 on February 3). On the first working day of the new year, enterprises organized exchange activities, New Year greetings, and New Year lucky money for employees with the amount of 50,000 - 200,000 VND.
According to Mr. Vu Ngoc Thuc - Head of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, more than 90% of enterprises in the city plan to resume production after Tet from February 3. Before and during Tet, the labor relations situation in Hai Phong City was stable.
Thanks to the attention and care of businesses and trade unions, businesses pay salaries and Tet bonuses to employees in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement, organize Tet care activities, give Tet gifts, and encourage employees according to the production and business situation... The average Lunar New Year bonus is 8,260,000 VND/person, an increase compared to the previous year... Thanks to that, after the Tet holiday, the rate of employees returning to work is high, over 90%.
15% of businesses have increased orders after Tet
Along with welcoming workers back to work after Tet, businesses received good news when orders for the new year were abundant, promising jobs and guaranteed income for workers. For example, at Hoa Thanh Company Limited (Tien Lang district), according to the representative of the grassroots union, from the morning of February 3, nearly 100% of workers working the morning shift returned to work. After the first minutes of socializing, wishing a happy new year, and giving lucky money, workers immediately got to work to meet the production schedule at the beginning of the year.
“Currently, the company has orders until the end of 2025 and is planning to recruit a large number of workers (about 300 people) with an average income of 10 million VND/person/month,” said a representative of the company's union.
According to the Hai Phong City Labor Union, after the Lunar New Year, the production and business situation of enterprises was basically stable, there were no records of units lacking or missing orders, affecting the jobs of workers. According to initial statistics of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Labor Union, after the Lunar New Year, about 65% of enterprises had stable orders, 15% of enterprises had increased orders after Tet.
Since the beginning of 2025, businesses have announced the need to recruit nearly 6,500 workers, of which some businesses have large recruitment needs such as Regina Miracle International Vietnam Co., Ltd. (VSIP Industrial Park), Lianyue Vietnam Co., Ltd., TongWei Co., Ltd. (An Duong Industrial Park)...
