Hai Phong City People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement the Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026 in the city, in order to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, businesses and workers in ensuring occupational safety and health.
According to the plan, Action Month 2026 is organized from May 1 to May 31, 2026 with the theme: "Innovating management and improving the efficiency of occupational safety and health in the digital age". Activities aim to create a media peak, promote specific action programs to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases; thereby contributing to protecting the health and lives of workers and improving working conditions at agencies, units, and businesses.
It is expected that the launching ceremony of the City's Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026 will be held on the morning of April 23 at LG Electronics Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. (Trang Due Industrial Park) with the participation of about 500-600 delegates who are representatives of leaders of central ministries and sectors, city leaders, departments, agencies, branches, unions, businesses and workers in the area.
The launching ceremony will take place with many practical activities such as: identifying and assessing occupational safety risks at the workplace; guiding first aid skills for occupational accidents; safe lift operation contest; sharing initiatives and effective models in occupational safety and hygiene; free health check-ups and consultations for workers; introducing technology solutions and robots to support production to minimize the risk of occupational unsafety.
In addition, the city will organize conferences and seminars to exchange experiences, strengthen propaganda activities on mass media and digital platforms. At the same time, promote inspection of compliance with labor safety and hygiene laws at enterprises and production and business establishments at high risk of labor accidents and occupational diseases.
Within the framework of the Action Month, the city will also commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in occupational safety and health, thereby encouraging businesses and workers to actively build a green - clean - beautiful - safe working environment, contributing to sustainable production development and improving labor productivity.
