5,000 free shopping vouchers for disadvantaged workers
According to the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Dong Nai will focus on 4 key activities, including the "Union Tet Market" program taking place for 6 days (from January 14 to January 19) at Amata Park, Amata Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City to serve workers with preferential shopping prices during the Lunar New Year 2025.
At the 2025 "Trade Union Tet Market", the Organizing Committee arranged 100 booths with popular products, reasonable prices, and guaranteed quality for workers in industrial parks and businesses to shop for Tet. Of which, there are 20 booths of OCOP products belonging to enterprises, production facilities, and individual business households in the province that have been certified, 80 commercial booths. Products belong to industries such as processed food, textiles, leather shoes, cosmetics, cosmetics, electronics, household appliances... with preferential prices, 20-30% lower than the market.
Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor also mobilized the participation of businesses to give free shopping vouchers to more than 5,000 disadvantaged workers in the province.
The program also includes activities such as legal advice, mini games, calligraphy and coordinating the organization of nightly cultural performances for workers; propaganda about the Law on Order, road traffic safety, public health knowledge, disease prevention and control; free health check-ups and consultations.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y - President of Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor - said: The program "Union Tet Market" creates conditions for union members and workers to welcome a joyful and warm spring, especially those in difficult circumstances. Thereby, continuing to affirm the attention of the Party Committee, government, and trade union organization to union members and workers.
Organizing a zero-dong market for workers and disadvantaged laborers
Not only at the provincial level, the Long Thanh District Labor Federation also coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Thanh District to organize a 0-VND market on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, helping over 800 policy families, poor households, and workers in difficult circumstances to receive 0-VND shopping vouchers for over 15 essential products including rice, cooking oil, Tet cakes, milk, pillows, mattresses, etc.
A representative of the Long Thanh District Labor Federation said that the first zero-dong market was organized to express gratitude, share, and promptly encourage families with preferential treatment, disadvantaged families, poor households, and low-income workers to enjoy a warm and joyful Tet holiday.
The Long Thanh District Labor Federation also plans to give over 6,000 Tet gifts to union members, disadvantaged workers, and workers who cannot return home for Tet; at the same time, organize meetings and cultural nights to serve workers in the district.
At enterprises, grassroots unions also organize many similar activities to take care of union members and workers.
According to union officials, because many workers will not return to their hometowns for the 2025 Lunar New Year but will stay in Dong Nai province to celebrate Tet, the "Union Tet Market" sessions will become even more meaningful, helping workers have a warm but economical Tet.
At TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City, the grassroots union also opened the "Union Tet Market" for union members and workers. Mr. Dinh Sy Phuc - Chairman of the TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company's grassroots union (with about 36,000 workers) - said that with the support of the company's Board of Directors and partners, the Union Welfare Center organized the "Union Tet Market" program with many items for union members and workers with gifts, targeting all union members.
