For the 2025-2030 term, Gia Lai Trade Union innovates its organization and operating methods in a streamlined, flexible, and professional direction to better protect the rights of workers and build a strong organization in the new period.

Side by side with workers in all circumstances

After merging old Binh Dinh and old Gia Lai into a new Gia Lai province, the Provincial Labor Federation managed 90,729 workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD), a decrease of 82,183 people compared to the beginning of the term, due to many administrative agencies and units stopping trade union activities...

In that context, trade union levels proactively perform the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of union members and workers (DV, NLD). Through thematic voter meetings, 34 direct opinions and 119 recommendations and proposals from DV, NLD were received.

Trade union levels have chaired 364 supervision sessions, participated in 567 supervision sessions and organized 246 social criticism sessions, focusing on salary policies, social insurance, labor contracts and occupational safety and health. In particular, the trade union has supported union members and workers to reclaim their rights with a total amount of more than 2.5 billion VND.

The work of caring for material and spiritual life also achieved many results. Annual activities such as Lunar New Year, Workers' Month, and union member welfare programs visited and supported more than 449,809 turns of workers, civil servants and laborers with a total budget of 186 billion VND; built and repaired 142 "Trade Union Homes" and "Houses of Kindness" with a total budget of over 6 billion VND; mobilized to increase the value of shift meals by over 18,000 VND/meal at 245 enterprises.

Trade union levels mobilize workers, civil servants and laborers to participate in social funds, voluntary blood donation and support people affected by natural disasters... with a total budget of over 31.6 billion VND, contributing to improving social security...

Innovation for workers

In the 2025-2030 term, Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union sets a goal to innovate the organization and operation of the Trade Union in a streamlined, flexible, professional and modern direction, strongly focusing on the grassroots level. Maintaining the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of union members and workers. In parallel, the Trade Union strengthens the development of union members, establishes grassroots Trade Unions (CDCS) and improves the quality of the contingent of officials, contributing to building Gia Lai into a comprehensively developed province.

The Provincial Trade Union sets out 12 annual targets, including: Developing 5,000 new union members/year; 90% of union members are propagated and learn policies and laws; 65% of workers improve their qualifications and professional skills; 100% of state-owned grassroots trade unions and 85% of non-state-owned grassroots trade unions implement democracy regulations; 100% of labor disputes have trade union representatives; 1,500 initiatives of union members and workers and 8 research topics are applied and rewarded; each grassroots trade union introduces at least 1 outstanding union member to the Party; 100% of trade union officials are trained in professional skills; 90% of commune/ward trade unions, 85% of state-owned grassroots trade unions and 65% of non-state-owned grassroots trade unions achieve good grades; 100% of grassroots trade unions are eligible to establish Women's Unions; inspection and supervision are carried out, at least 20% of enterprises are financially inspected; each trade union builds a new model in operation.

By the end of the term, strive for the whole province to have over 100,000 union members; 100% of non-state enterprises with 20 or more employees establish trade union organizations; 85% of enterprises and units with trade unions sign collective labor agreements, of which at least 60% meet type B or higher.

Mr. Ha Duy Trung, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that the Congress is a milestone in innovating methods, improving the quality of Trade Union activities, meeting the requirements of the working class and workers in the new period.

The 2025-2030 term requires innovating care work in a practical and sustainable direction, avoiding spreading and formalism. The team of Trade Union officials is built according to the criteria of "daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility", with firm political bravery, understanding of the law, firmly grasping the lives of workers, close to the grassroots level, saying and doing.

The new term Congress clearly defines the role of accompanying the government and businesses in building the working class and the Trade Union organization of Gia Lai province to be modern and strong, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization of the country," Mr. Ha Duy Trung affirmed.
