3 breakthroughs, taking union members as the center
Chairman of Hue City Labor Federation Le Minh Nhan said that the common goal in the new term is to build a comprehensively strong Trade Union organization, truly becoming a reliable support for workers; strongly focusing on the grassroots level, taking union members as the center. Along with that, the Trade Union organization must innovate, be creative, and meet the development requirements of Hue City in the new period - a city oriented "green - smart - rich in identity".
According to Mr. Nhan, Hue City Labor Federation sets a target of developing at least 6,000 union members each year; propagating and disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State to at least 90% of union members and workers. The Trade Union also strives for about 70% of workers to be trained to improve their skills, 75% to be equipped with life skills; 65% of workers at enterprises to be disseminated knowledge about digital technology and at least 50% to achieve the title "Civilian Learning".
In building harmonious and stable labor relations, the Hue City Labor Federation sets a target for at least 90% of enterprises with Trade Union organizations to sign collective labor agreements; 100% of grassroots trade unions implement grassroots democracy regulations; 70% of units organize periodic dialogues between employees and employers.
Organization building work continues to be focused on, with the goal of 80% of grassroots trade unions in public non-business units and 70% of non-state-owned enterprise trade unions achieving good grades. Every year, the City Trade Union strives to introduce 150 - 200 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission; 100% of trade union officials are trained and improve their professional skills.
The three breakthroughs identified by the Hue City Labor Federation in the new term include: Promoting digital transformation in all trade union activities; focusing on developing union members, especially in non-state enterprises and the informal labor sector; strengthening dialogue and collective bargaining, prioritizing issues of salaries, welfare and safety, and labor hygiene," Mr. Nhan informed.
