In the first 6 months of 2025, there will be more than 79,000 initiatives
In the 2018-2023 period, responding to the call of the General Secretary and the movement "The whole country is united, join hands, and unanimously compete in preventing, combating and defeating the COVID-19 pandemic" launched by the Prime Minister, the Trade Union organization launched the movement "Workers, civil servants, and laborers strive to overcome difficulties, be creative, and determined to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic". The movement is concretized by the Program "75,000 initiatives to overcome difficulties, develop" and "1 million initiatives, efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity and determination to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic", with many innovations in implementation methods, especially the application of information technology. The programs have attracted a large number of union members and workers to participate, affirming the role of the Trade Union, actively contributing to the recovery and development of the socio-economy.
In 2024, emulation movements launched by the Trade Union, focusing on the movement "Good workers, Creative workers" took place enthusiastically, attracting a large number of workers, civil servants and laborers to participate. According to reports from trade unions at all levels, more than 2,900 products and works have been recognized with a total amount of more than 149 billion VND; more than 123,000 initiatives have been recognized and applied in practice with a total value of more than 1,345 billion VND. In which, the National Defense Trade Union Board has 3,526 topics and initiatives to improve techniques, works, and products with an estimated profit value of more than 248 billion VND with some typical models such as "Each engineer has one topic, each union group has one initiative", "Each grassroots trade union has 1-2 product projects, initiatives, technical improvements", "Good practice, strictness, discipline, and efficiency", "Following Uncle Ho's words - competing to win 3 First Prizes" ...
From the beginning of 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has promptly issued a plan and launched an emulation campaign to achieve achievements to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Patriotic Emulation Congress at all levels, the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress and major holidays and events of the Party and the country in 2025 with the theme "Determination to innovate, actively create, improve labor productivity, work efficiency, save, fight waste, welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Patriotic Emulation Congress at all levels, the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress".
The emulation contents and criteria are specified for each group of subjects and type of trade union; focusing on continuing to promote the emulation movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste", the Good Labor Movement, Creative Labor.
As a result, in the first 6 months of 2025, the total number of initiatives recognized is more than 79,000 initiatives with a total value of more than 192 billion VND; more than 15,000 projects and emulation products were recognized with a total value of more than 24.2 billion VND.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam Electricity Group have also launched the "Emulation Movement to Accelerate the Investment and Construction progress of EVN's key projects in 2025" with 7 key projects of the electricity industry in 2025.
Focus on rewarding direct employees
In the coming time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will continue to organize patriotic emulation movements among union members and workers, contributing to the successful completion of the country's socio-economic development tasks in 2025, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
In particular, trade unions at all levels continue to raise awareness of emulation and reward work in the new situation according to the Party's policies and the State's laws. Coordinate with all levels and sectors to propagate and thoroughly grasp the great meaning and impact of emulation and reward work, especially for workers in the non-state enterprise sector.
Closely follow and implement the principle of "precision, publicity, fairness, timeliness" commendation; in which focusing on rewarding direct employees, it is necessary to consider direct employees as the foundation of the patriotic emulation movement.
Promote the work of building advanced models and propagating to set an example for advanced models. When summarizing and drawing experience, we must honor individuals and typical advanced groups, so that each group and individual is a shining example and a valuable capital of the revolutionary cause.
Continue to organize professional training for cadres working in emulation and reward work; strengthen administrative reform, apply information technology in management, synthesis, appraisal and reward and archiving of documents and reward records.
