More than 6,000 union members take online traffic safety test

Kien Giang - More than 6,000 union members who are cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers at 68 grassroots unions under the Provincial Civil Servants' Union participated in the contest.

On November 8, the Provincial Civil Servants' Union and the Office of the Traffic Safety Committee of Kien Giang province held a closing ceremony for the online contest to learn about traffic order and safety laws in 2024.

After 1 month of launching and organizing the weekly contest, more than 6,000 union members who are cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers (CCVCLD) at 68 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) of agencies and departments under the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union (CDVC) participated in the contest.

As a result, 5 units won collective prizes, of which the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the province won first prize; in addition, 32 individuals won first, second, third and consolation prizes in each competition week.

Mr. Pham Thong Nhat, Chief of Office of the Traffic Safety Committee of Kien Giang province, said that the contest is one of the forms of propaganda through technological devices, aiming to effectively implement Plan No. 18 of the Provincial People's Committee on ensuring order and traffic safety in 2024 in the area. The contest was carefully prepared in terms of content, form and propaganda to mobilize union members and civil servants to participate effectively.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial Trade Union, informed that from the launch date (September 27, 2024) until the end of the contest, the trade unions closely coordinated with the leaders of agencies and units to promote propaganda about the purpose and meaning of the contest. Propaganda, mobilization, and organization for union members to participate weekly with over 70% of union members participating, thereby creating a movement to study, live and work according to the law.

“The contest contents will be propagated and disseminated in a form suitable to local reality. At the same time, contestants will be active propagandists, propagating and disseminating to relatives, friends, colleagues... to strictly comply with traffic safety laws,” Mr. Hung emphasized.
