On October 21, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial Civil Servants' Union - said that so far, more than 5,700 people have participated in the Online Contest to learn about traffic order and safety laws in 2024.
The contest aims to promote the spirit of proactive learning, improve knowledge of traffic safety laws and order for union members and workers, contributing to reducing traffic safety violations.
The contest also contributes to widely disseminating and educating to the trade unions of provincial agencies, workers, civil servants and employees about Directive No. 35 of the Prime Minister on handling cadres, civil servants, public employees and soldiers in the armed forces who violate regulations on driving vehicles with alcohol concentration in blood or breath; and do not cooperate with the authorities in handling violations.
Mr. Hung also informed: “Many union members and civil servants participating in the contest answered correctly 20/20 knowledge questions, demonstrating investment, understanding of the law, ensuring order and traffic safety. The union branches of agencies and units with a high rate of union members and civil servants participating are typically: Union branches of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Kien Giang College, Provincial Tax Department, Pedagogical College…”.
Previously, the Kien Giang Provincial Civil Servants' Union and the Kien Giang Provincial Traffic Safety Committee Office launched the "Online contest to learn about traffic order and safety laws in 2024" among union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers at grassroots trade unions.
According to the Organizing Committee, the contest content includes: Current Road Traffic Law, traffic culture, solutions to ensure traffic safety and order, road sign system, regulations on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of road traffic, and handling of situations in traffic participation.
The contest is organized online, contestants answer multiple choice questions according to the pre-designed question set software. The question bank will have 120 questions randomly mixed by the software, in each test there are 20 questions in multiple choice format and 1 sub-question, the Organizing Committee provides 3-4 answers and only 1 correct answer. Contestants scan the QR code to do the test with a time limit of 15 minutes for each test.
The competition period is from 6:00 a.m. on September 30, 2024 to 12:00 p.m. on October 27, 2024, divided into 4 weeks, with the competition finalized and awarded in November 2024. There are expected to be collective prizes, including: 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize and 2 Consolation Prizes; weekly prizes for individuals.
