On December 29, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Japanese investment, manufacturing automobile electrical wires, with more than 7,000 employees) said that the company and the trade union have agreed on Tet bonuses and 2025 salaries for employees.
Regarding Tet bonus, all employees with 1 year of service or more will receive 2 months salary including basic salary and regular allowances.
In addition, the company also agreed with the union's proposal to advance 50% of January's salary to employees before Tet holiday.
In addition to the bonus, the company also agreed to increase the basic salary and some allowances by 4% from January 1, 2025. These contents were agreed by the company and the union on December 28, 2024.
On the side of the Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd., each employee will receive a gift worth 300,000 VND. Employees who do not return to their hometowns will hold a year-end meeting on the 29th of Tet. These employees will receive an additional envelope of 500,000 VND and a gift worth 300,000 VND.
The union also coordinated with the company to organize vehicles to take workers home to celebrate Tet on the afternoon of January 25, 2025 (December 26) and on the 6th day of Tet, workers will be picked up from their hometowns so they can return to work on the 9th day of Tet.
Workers who show up on their first day of work will receive a lucky money of 320,000 VND from the company and the union.
