Attending the 2025 dream flight program in the Northern region to honor children of employees with excellent achievements in studying and training in the 2024-2025 school year was Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
This is an annual activity organized by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union in all three regions of the North - Central - South for children of union members and workers before entering the new school year. Each year, the program has innovation, creativity, and suitability with regional cultural characteristics and features.
Along with honoring and rewarding the Industry Union, they also organize practical and educational activities with profound traditional character such as organizing the Ho Chi Minh Medal and Visitation Ceremony, offering incense and visiting the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, visiting the Vietnam Military History Museum, visiting the Hue Imperial City, visiting the Dragon House Wharf... These are activities that not only bring joy and excitement but also foster patriotism, national pride and life skills for students.
This year, the whole industry has honored and rewarded 894 excellent students, with a total bonus of over 837 million VND. Of which, 10 students won the National Excellent Student Award, 323 students won the Provincial and Municipal Excellent Student Award; 162 students were excellent students of all courses or excellent graduates, 33 students were awarded with 2 or more achievements... In addition to the awards in cultural subjects, 92 students achieved high achievements in cultural, artistic, physical education and sports competitions, and competitions in soft skills and speaking.
It is especially appreciated that 441 children of workers in difficult circumstances still strive to study well, receiving the "Accompanying you to school" scholarship from the Industry Union.
The dream flight program is not only meaningful to children but also becomes a source of encouragement for parents - who are union members and employees working in the system. Because through practical activities, the program demonstrates the practical concern of the Trade Union organization for the cause of education and care for future generations - the green shoots of the country.
According to Ms. Do Hong Van, in the context of the textile and garment industry still facing many difficulties due to the impact of the world economic situation, market fluctuations and difficulties in recruiting workers..., maintaining and promoting meaningful activities like this clearly demonstrates the social responsibility of the Trade Union organization towards employees and their families.
Talking to the students at the program, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union Pham Thi Thanh Tam shared that the achievements of each excellent student are the efforts of the children themselves and their families. It is worth considering the children in difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties and studied well. The children of families with good circumstances have also risen up, know how to live humane lives, know how to appreciate the value of labor to study and strive for.
