Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation has just issued a Plan on organizing Workers' Month 2026 with the theme: "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".
This year's Workers' Month is identified as a widespread socio-political activity in the entire trade union system, associated with the Action Month on occupational safety and health and the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1). The activities aim to better care for union members and workers, taking workers as the center, grassroots trade unions as the foundation for deployment, digital transformation as a tool, and actual effectiveness as a measure.
Setting specific and clear goals, the province strives to have 70% or more of businesses implement at least one activity in response to Workers' Month, spreading in the press and media. At the same time, strive for 10% of union members and workers to participate in proposing initiatives, technical improvements, and solutions to improve labor productivity; of which at least 30% of initiatives are applied in practice.
Many practical activities, towards workers, will be implemented such as: the "May Dialogue" program, the forum "Union members contribute ideas to build Vietnam Trade Unions in the new era"; activities "Thank you workers"; caring for material and spiritual life; organizing the "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" Day.
Besides, there are peak periods to promote the innovation movement, develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions and introduce outstanding union members for the Party to consider and nurture.
Key provincial-level activities include: Launching the Workers' Month associated with the Action Month on occupational safety and health; launching the emulation movement "Innovation and technical improvement"; commending typical workers in the movement "Good labor, creative labor" and in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; organizing a worker football tournament to celebrate important political events.
Workers' Month 2026 is not only an occasion to show gratitude but also creates motivation for each union member and worker to promote creativity, improve productivity, and contribute to building an increasingly strong Vietnamese working class.
