On February 20, the Trade Union of agencies and units under the General Confederation of Labor held the 5th Executive Committee Conference for the 2023 - 2028 term.
Attending the ceremony was Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union.
One of the notable contents is the results of guiding and supporting grassroots trade unions to represent, care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, civil servants, public employees and workers.
Accordingly, identifying the work of representing and caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers as a key, continuous task, deciding the results of the activities of the Trade Union, from the beginning of the year, the Executive Committee and the Standing Committees of the Trade Unions of agencies and units have developed and issued Programs, plans, guidelines, and directions for grassroots trade unions to implement activities in a specific manner, bringing practical results.
The Executive Committees of grassroots trade unions have closely followed their functions and tasks, proactively coordinated with heads and heads of agencies, units and enterprises to review, develop and implement the Grassroots Democracy Regulations (14/15 grassroots trade unions); amended, supplemented and issued the Regulations on coordination between the Executive Committee and heads and heads of agencies and units (15/15 grassroots trade unions); participated in councils to review and resolve the rights of union members, civil servants, public employees and workers 127 times.
In many places, grassroots trade unions participate in amending, supplementing, and issuing internal regulations, mobilizing civil servants, public employees, and workers to practice thrift, combat waste, ensure jobs, and increase revenue for units. Typically: The Trade Union of the enterprise sector has strengthened supervision of the implementation of the provisions in the Collective Labor Agreement; organized dialogue conferences between employees and business leaders; participated in developing salary tables, rules and regulations related to the rights and interests of union members and employees; guided and helped employees sign labor contracts, work contracts, etc.

The activities of the People's Inspectorate are being cared for, promoted, and maintained in a disciplined manner, contributing to the Union in effectively implementing grassroots democracy regulations.
