On December 24, the An Minh District Labor Federation (Kien Giang) held a conference to summarize the Union's work in 2024.
In 2024, An Minh District Trade Union at all levels focused on innovating the content and methods of operation, deploying and effectively organizing emulation movements; leadership and direction always focused on the grassroots.
On the occasion of Lunar New Year and Workers' Month, the District Labor Federation visited and presented 214 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, worth 113 million VND. The Union coordinated with heads of agencies and units to visit and present 1,132 gifts to union members and workers worth 320 million VND. Timely encouraged and shared with union members and workers in difficult circumstances, illness, disease, maternity... 569 cases, with a total amount of over 191 million VND.
Coordinate with district departments and organizations to organize a 0 VND booth, giving away 100 gifts of necessities... to poor households, lonely elderly people, and people with disabilities in the district.
Mobilizing the “Trade Union Society” Fund, nearly 117 million VND was raised, handing over 3 Trade Union Shelter houses with the amount of 130 million VND. Considering building 1 Trade Union Shelter house for union members with difficult housing circumstances; Voluntary blood donation received 652 units of blood.
The District Labor Federation organizes the 2024 Excellent Union Cadre Competition, the Banh Tet Wrapping and Cooking Competition, and the Military-Civilian Tet; Coordinates with sectors to organize activities to Celebrate the Party and Celebrate the Year of the Dragon in 2024. Launch regular and short-term emulation movements, divide emulation clusters and organize emulation signing for each cluster.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has recognized and placed a plaque on the special emulation project that achieved achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and welcome the 10th Congress of the An Minh District Party Committee, term 2025-2028, worth 376 million VND. In the 2023-2024 school year, the Executive Committee of the District Federation of Labor and 36 affiliated Trade Unions received help for 41 disadvantaged students, with a total amount of more than 33 million VND.
Attending and speaking at the conference, Ms. Trang Thi Bich Ngoc - Vice President of Kien Giang Provincial Labor Federation - acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the district Labor Federation in recent times.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor also requested that in the coming time, An Minh district trade unions at all levels continue to propagate, thoroughly grasp, and concretize the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's legal policies, and those of higher-level trade unions, especially propagating the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the Resolutions of the Congresses of trade unions at all levels, the Trade Union Law (amended), and important national holidays and events in 2025.
Organize to thoroughly grasp and implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies on streamlining the organizational apparatus, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities of the Trade Union at all levels. Timely grasp the thoughts and aspirations to propagate and mobilize union members, cadres, civil servants and public employees to agree and comply with decisions on the arrangement of the organizational apparatus and job positions.
Carry out well the activities to take care of union members and workers, especially on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025 with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet".
Launch a patriotic emulation movement among cadres, union members, and employees. Propose solutions to promote development and increase union members, and establish grassroots unions in non-state enterprises.
At the conference, the "For the cause of building the Trade Union organization" medal was also awarded to 9 union members, the Provincial Federation of Labor flag was awarded to 1 collective and the Provincial Federation of Labor Certificate of Merit, the District Federation of Labor Certificate of Merit to 20 collectives and 86 individuals with achievements in implementing the emulation movement.
