Emulation cluster No. V, consisting of 10 trade unions under the Kien Giang Provincial Labor Federation, has just held a conference to summarize the emulation covenant for 2024.
At the conference, Mr. Le Hoang Vu, Chairman of the Trade Union of Phuong Nam Company Limited - Head of Emulation Cluster No. V said: The work of caring for the lives of union members and workers has always received attention and timely support. Trade Unions proactively coordinated with employers to organize workers' conferences, reaching a rate of 100%; well implementing the democratic regulations at the grassroots level.
Timely visit, support and help union members and employees who are sick or whose families are facing difficulties in life, always create favorable conditions for employees to have regular jobs, be excited and feel secure in their long-term work.
During the year, Cluster V actively participated in cultural and artistic movements, physical training and sports; the "Tet cake and fruit tray" exhibition contest to celebrate the Party and the Year of the Dragon in 2024; participated in the excellent union cadre contest organized by the Provincial Federation of Labor. Coordinated with employers to effectively implement social security work, supported the construction of "Union Shelter" houses for union members and employees in difficult circumstances. Rewarded children of union members and employees with good academic achievements in the 2023-2024 school year from the unit's scholarship fund.
Trade Unions regularly participate in supporting many movements, charity work, and caring for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. Organize visits and give gifts on holidays and Tet to union members and employees with a total amount of tens of billions of VND. A typical example is the Trade Union of Hwaseung Rach Gia Company Limited, which has organized many practical and exciting activities such as: The Trade Union coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to organize the "Reunion Meal" program for all union members during the year-end working session, giving more than 6,200 Tet gifts to union members and employees with a total amount of nearly 2.5 billion VND. On the occasion of Workers' Month, a "Trade Union Meal" was organized with 6,518 gifts, with an additional cost of nearly 76 million VND compared to normal days. On Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20, the "Flower Arranging and Traditional Cake Display" Contest was held, attracting thousands of union members and employees to enthusiastically respond, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for women. At the same time, to encourage and support women, the Union presented gifts directly transferred to the accounts of 5,472 female union members, each worth 150,000 VND (total amount of more than 820 million VND),...
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Van Dang - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor praised Cluster V for its solidarity and comprehensive results in many activities, especially the care for union members and workers that has always been well implemented by the grassroots unions.
However, the work of developing union members and mobilizing contributions to the Trade Union Shelter Fund has not yet met the set targets. In the coming time, it is recommended that the Trade Unions continue to coordinate with employers to take good care of the lives and jobs, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Prepare a plan to organize activities to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Mobilize union members to actively participate in contributing and supporting the Trade Union Shelter Fund; fully perform the functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization, contributing to the overfulfillment of the production and business plan targets of the enterprise.
On this occasion, Cluster V elected the Trade Union of Kim Diep Trading Company Limited as Cluster Leader and the Trade Union of Saigon - Rach Gia Joint Stock Company as Deputy Cluster Leader in charge of emulation activities in 2025.
