Speaking at the opening of the Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market 2026, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation - said that with the motto of focusing on the grassroots level, taking union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers as the center, trade union levels determine that caring for union members and laborers in the current context is an extremely important task. The organization of the Trade Union Tet Market aims to focus resources on caring so that union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers can celebrate Tet warmly and joyfully; and at the same time create conditions for union members and laborers to actively choose and buy essential goods and products to serve family life during the Tet holidays for union members.
Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market 2026 is organized in 2 phases: phase 1 from January 28 to February 1 at Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Culture Palace; phase 2 from February 4 to February 8 at the Legal Consulting and Support Center for Workers (facility 2). The program has more than 200 booths displaying and introducing OCOP products, quality local products, with preferential prices for union members and workers along with many attractive and joyful cultural, artistic, and sports activities.
At the opening ceremony of the Tet market, the Organizing Committee presented 100 Tet gifts to CNVCLD in difficult circumstances in the city.
In addition to the Trade Union Tet Market, in a series of activities to care for union members and workers during Tet in Hai Phong, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has supported 8,250 vouchers, worth 500,000 VND/voucher for union members in difficult circumstances to participate in shopping at the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" online program; awarded 16,000 New Year's Day gifts, each worth 1,000,000 VND; and organized free motorbike oil changes for 6,600 union members and workers.
On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, the City Labor Federation continued to present 20,000 Tet gifts, each worth 1,000,000 VND, to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, working in a heavy and hazardous environment; and supported 49,444 bus tickets, each worth 200,000 VND, helping workers far from home have conditions to return home for Tet.
In addition to the resources of the Trade Union organization, the City People's Committee supported 11,800 gifts, each worth 1,000,000 VND, showing the concern and care of the city government for workers in the area.
Within the framework of the "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" Program in 2026, the City Labor Federation presented 3,000 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, combined with exchange and cultural activities, creating a warm atmosphere, connecting union members and workers; and presented 5,000 direct shopping vouchers at the Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market, worth 200,000 VND/voucher, to further support Tet shopping costs.
In addition, 2,424 gifts, each worth 1,500,000 VND, were also presented to employers and business owners to recognize their companionship and sharing in ensuring jobs, income and life for workers.
