On the afternoon of July 23, Dong Ninh Hoa Ward Trade Union organized a program to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026) and respond to the Month of Listening to Trade Union members and workers speak in 2026.
Mr. Huynh Trong Quan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Ninh Hoa Ward, Chairman of the Dong Ninh Hoa Ward Trade Union, recalled the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union, and reported on the results of trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year.
At the program, many opinions from grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) focused on solutions to improve the quality of trade union activities in the new period.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong - Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Komipo Van Phong Power Service Co., Ltd. proposed to strengthen training classes and professional skills training for grassroots trade union officials.
Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Thuy - Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Australis Vietnam Seafood Co., Ltd. - proposed that the Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) strengthen the organization of exchange activities, sports festivals, and art performances to connect grassroots trade unions and create an environment for sharing experiences.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Nam - Chairman of the Trade Union of S.K Vina Co., Ltd. hopes that the trade union organization will continue to pay more attention to union members in difficult circumstances so that workers can clearly see their rights and values when participating in the trade union.
At the program, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation also announced the decision to establish 7 new grassroots trade unions and admit nearly 550 union members in Dong Ninh Hoa ward.
The grassroots trade unions include DONGYANG SAN JEON VINA Co., Ltd., Duc Son Cement Joint Stock Company, An Khang Industry Co., Ltd., Tan Khang KH Co., Ltd., Bao Huy NT Service and Trading Co., Ltd., Khanh Hoa LDT Co., Ltd. and Gia Huy KH Service Trading Co., Ltd.
Recording opinions from grassroots levels, Ms. Tran Thi Huong - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation, Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Trade Union, said that in the coming time, she will focus on implementing 10 key tasks and 3 breakthroughs of the trade union organization.
In which, priority is given to improving the quality of negotiation, signing collective labor agreements, effectively organizing the "Trade Union Meal" program, strengthening professional training for trade union officials, taking care of Tet for workers; developing union members, establishing new grassroots trade unions.
Trade unions at all levels will also promote supervision of the implementation of salary policies, social insurance, unemployment insurance and regimes for workers. At the same time, create more cultural and sports playgrounds, improve spiritual life, and benefits for union members to meet new development requirements.
To encourage union members and workers on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 20 gifts (each gift including 500,000 VND and 10kg of rice) to union members in difficult circumstances. At the same time, it presented sets of pens and English textbooks to 5 children of union members before the new school year.
