On July 12, the Department of Home Affairs of Khanh Hoa province said that regarding the issue of unpaid wages and Social Insurance (SI) of Mai Linh Nha Trang Company Limited, the unit will chair a meeting with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Labor Federation, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Inspectorate, the Department of Finance and Social Insurance of the XXIV region on July 15.
The meeting aimed to propose a solution to completely resolve the situation of unpaid wages and social insurance (SI) of employees at Mai Linh Nha Trang Company Limited.
Previously, the Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a document requesting the Department of Home Affairs to proactively coordinate with relevant authorities to propose a handling direction in accordance with assigned functions and tasks.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee emphasized the need to propose a plan to completely handle the situation of unpaid wages and social insurance debts.
In particular, handling in the spirit of maximum protection of workers' rights, ensuring strictness and compliance with legal regulations.
Relevant agencies are required to clearly report on handling measures if enterprises do not comply with decisions to sanction administrative violations.
According to the Department of Home Affairs, at the working session on May 8 chaired by the Provincial Federation of Labor, the parties agreed that the payment of unpaid wages and social insurance to employees will be made within 3 months, from May 8 to August 8, 2025.
However, at the next meeting on June 23 chaired by the Provincial Labor Federation, the representative of the collective of workers reflected that Mai Linh Nha Trang Company Limited did not fulfill its previous commitment.
To protect their rights, the Provincial Federation of Labor has instructed workers to carry out necessary procedures to sue the company in court, requesting the settlement of unpaid wages and social insurance debts.
Regarding the compliance with the decision to sanction administrative violations (No. 3479/QD-XPHC dated December 31, 2024) of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the Social Insurance of Region XXIV has repeatedly sent documents urging and inviting businesses to work to request the payment of fines.
However, the company has not yet complied. In addition, on April 22, 2025, the Department of Home Affairs Inspectorate also issued a decision to administratively sanction the enterprise.
As of July 7, Mai Linh Nha Trang Company Limited has not yet fulfilled its obligation to pay the fine. According to the latest commitment to the Department of Home Affairs, the company will complete the payment of fines according to Decision No. 47/QD-XPHC before July 31, 2025.
