This is one of the practical activities of the Capital Labor Newspaper and the Gia Lam District Labor Federation (LDLD) to jointly organize to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), International Labor Day 1.5, in response to the Month of Action on Labor Safety and Hygiene, Workers' Month 2025.
This activity also aims to propagate, disseminate and provide useful knowledge related to social insurance policies and labor safety issues for workers, thereby demonstrating the motto of the Trade Union organization always focusing on the grassroots, paying comprehensive care for workers.
The dialogue and exchange was attended by more than 300 union officials and employees of Gia Lam district. Participating in answering questions from union officials and employees are: Dr. Do Thi Lan Chi - Deputy Head of the Department of Labor Safety and Occupational Health of the Trade Union University; Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau - Head of the Department of Propaganda and Support for Social Insurance participants in Region I; Master, lawyer Nguyen Van Ha - Deputy Head of the Hanoi Bar Association.
Speaking at the opening of the online dialogue and exchange, Mr. Dinh Tuan Anh - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper - said that recent adjustments in the social insurance policy have expanded the scope of participants, improved social insurance benefits and created more favorable conditions for employees to access the policies.
In particular, new points such as policies to support voluntary social insurance contributions or the application of digital technology in managing and resolving social insurance regimes are bringing positive changes, creating transparency, convenience and speed...

At the dialogue, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thinh (Tien Phong Primary School) asked: "When streamlining the apparatus, if a worker loses his or her job, will he or she be entitled to any social insurance benefits?".
Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau - representative of Social Insurance Region I (Hanoi) - advised that when streamlining the apparatus, if the employee is a civil servant, the employee who quits his/her job will receive unemployment benefits; but if the employee does not pay unemployment insurance, he/she will not receive this allowance. Instead, civil servants will receive a subsidy of 3 months' salary to find a job and after 1 year of stopping paying social insurance, employees can pay one-time social insurance if they meet the conditions.
The online dialogue and exchange session was very exciting with 30 opinions raised and thoroughly answered. This shows the deep concern of workers, civil servants and laborers for policies directly related to their rights and safety.
Mr. Nguyen Duc The - Chairman of the Gia Lam District Labor Federation - said that the information and knowledge shared at today's conference will help employees better understand the new regulations, thereby being more proactive in implementing and supervising the implementation of these policies at their units and enterprises.
At the same time, the comments and questions raised are also valuable sources of information for authorities to continue researching and further improving policies, better meeting the needs and aspirations of workers.
