The departments have been renovated and fully equipped with modern equipment and machinery, ensuring readiness for smooth operation from the first day.

On June 25, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen signed a notice on the list of Public Administration Service Centers in the city.
According to this announcement, in order to help individuals and organizations easily grasp information about the location of the application when there is a need to carry out administrative procedures, the list of these centers will be made public and start operating from July 1, 2025. The city level will have 3 units and the commune level will have 103 units.
Previously, the People's Committee of Can Tho City issued an official dispatch on receiving documents and returning results of administrative procedure settlement (AP) when implementing the two-level local government.
To unify the reception of documents and return of administrative procedure settlement results when implementing the two-level local government, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City requests the Head of the Professional Agency under the City People's Committee; Head of the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones; Chairman of the People's Committees of districts, communes, wards and towns, to urgently complete the settlement of administrative procedure records before July 1, 2025 according to the prescribed time and return the results to organizations and individuals; implement 100% digitalization of results on the City's administrative procedure settlement information system.
For records that have a deadline for settlement before July 1, 2025 (the records are settled later than prescribed) or are being settled with a time to return results after July 1, 2025 and are being processed on the Information System for settlement of administrative procedures (old), the officer or civil servant receiving the records must keep the records at the end by clicking "Not accepting" on the Information System for settlement of administrative procedures (old) and entering the reason for the end of the file "The file of Mr./Ms. has been transferred to the Agency (where the records are handed over for further processing) for further processing".
For agencies and units receiving functions and tasks, on the (new) TTHC settlement information system, officers and civil servants of the One-stop Department will merge the above-mentioned records into the TTHC settlement information system (new) according to the backlog file settlement process, to continue to resolve records for organizations and individuals.
The old city's administrative procedure settlement information system will temporarily stop operating from 6:00 p.m. on June 27, 2025 to 11:00 p.m. on June 29, 2025 to switch to the new system.
The new TTHC information system will be put into trial operation on June 30, 2025 and officially used from July 1, 2025.
The Director of the Department of Science and Technology guides agencies and units to operate the trial on the new TTHC Solution Information System; Technical support for agencies and units in the process of using the new TTHC Solution Information System.
To prepare the local government at both levels to operate from July 1, 2025, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City proposed that the Office of the People's Committees of Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces, send staff to the Office of the People's Committee of Can Tho City to delegate provincial-level management authority to the sub-systems under the National Public Service Portal.

On April 25, the People's Council of Can Tho City held a meeting to approve a Resolution on the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units of Can Tho City in 2025.
Agree to approve the policy of arranging and merging 80 commune-level administrative units of Can Tho city to establish 32 commune-level administrative units, including 16 wards and 16 communes. Among them, Tan An ward, Thoi Binh ward and Xuan Khanh ward (Ninh Kieu district) will be merged, taking the name Ninh Kieu ward.
