"Not only stopping at traditional activities, the trade union expands many practical contents such as health check-ups, health consultations, Trade Union Meals, associated with emulation, creating creative motivation for workers" - Ms. Huyen said.
According to Mr. Le Van Quyet - Chairman of the Trade Union of May 19 MTV Co., Ltd. (People's Police Trade Union), currently the company's grassroots trade union has 1,177 union members and workers. The work of caring for life, representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers is particularly concerned.
Regarding the organization of activities to respond to Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, in addition to traditional activities such as organizing Trade Union Meals, Workers' Thanks Day in 2026, the trade union will build a program associated with the innovation movement, digital initiatives, and improving labor productivity.
“We have developed a plan and organized the launching of the innovation and digital initiative movement to improve labor productivity. Mobilize union members and workers to participate in responding, proposing initiatives and solutions for innovation and digital transformation suitable to job positions and actual conditions at the unit. Organize commendation of typical union members and workers with initiatives and innovations. Select innovation initiatives with high profit value to propose to higher-level trade unions for commendation, and at the same time replicate them in the People's Police Trade Union. In addition, in Workers' Month 2026, union members will have periodic health check-ups; heavy-duty, hazardous, and female workers will have in-depth check-ups” - Mr. Quyet informed.
Practical "touch point
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Hung Yen University of Technology and Education - UTEHY (under the Vietnam Education Union) - shared that activities during Workers' Month 2026 are taking place extremely vibrantly with a series of practical "touch points". "We implement comprehensive welfare for union members and workers through organizing online running races, music festivals in MV format, and upgrading health check-up packages at leading hospitals" - Ms. Thuy said.
According to Ms. Thuy, in Workers' Month 2026, UTEHY Trade Union also coordinates with leading medical facilities to organize in-depth periodic health check-ups for 100% of officials and employees; maintains the organization of visits and gifts to union members in difficulty and illness...
Ms. Do Thi Thu (1984), specialist of the Faculty of Technology - UTEHY - confided that since discovering breast cancer in 2017, she has always been accompanied and supported both spiritually and materially by the trade union. "Many times during Workers' Month, I receive gifts from the trade union. The care and sharing help me to be more steadfast and strive harder in my work" - Ms. Thu said.
